Windows 8 "no maps found"
I have a new laptop running windows 8. I was about to update my GO710 to 915 maps. I have GO710 running navcore 7903 bootloader 10012 and maps Western Europe 1gb 905-4800. When I connect it to my new laptop, download TThome I get "no maps found" I have downloaded the latest fast activate and patched everything but I still get "no maps found". I have tried YGDpatch but I cannot get it to work If I connect to my older laptop running Vista I have no problems. It would appear that there is something wrong with TThome being patched properly. Any pointers before I start to change maps?

Re: Windows 8 "no maps found"
Re patching TTHome so you can "Op my GO" (which is just emulation/simulation); the first time TTHome sees a new navcore it needs (and should prompt you) to download the new dll which can THEN be patched

Re: Windows 8 "no maps found"
Do you know where in windows 8 that the .dll resides as I would like to go in and erase it and see if I can force a new one to be downloaded

Re: Windows 8 "no maps found"
I have this working now. I retried "fast activate" once again but it made no difference. I tried YDGpatch because a couple of years ago I had a similar problem and YGDpatch fixed it but for some reason I could not get it to work, but then I noticed it was incorporated into TTusertools I have just tried that and it works, I hope this may help someone else,

no , 710's use normal bootloader
if FastActivate dont work , run it as administrator , and/or check antivirus scanner ( its an EXE )
the reason that EayUseTool worked for him = that Command based tools are not blocked by Windows ( CMD )

I really can't find a reason to use Win8 except if you bought a new computer and had to swallow it. Have you thought of going back to Win7?

its better and safer and , it has Restore , which older versions dont have
every new version is better , with Vista being an exception
now that im getting used to the ugly interface and menu , i would not go back to 7 or earlier
