tried to emulate the x50 on my xl.

the first time, afeter i pushed on "restart" it was a disaster
corrupted memory; had to reformat and reinstall.

Now simba works perfectly on my xl.
    i have 3 buttons.
only problem i have just 2 mb of ram.

extremely quick to find the position.

    thanks.

when doing a new installation of navcore it is better to start from scratch, SD or empty memory.
2 MB carries very large map Europe?
in spite of 2MB circulating it goes fluid or "to jumps"

Could somebody elaborate on the difference between this and the official/stock ncore ?
Has it been modified for compatibility with older devices or is this version generally better optimised for RAM?
    Thanks

Have a look and you can see the differences. I use it on a ONE-3rd in x40-light emulation. It's running well(*).
With the official NC 9.541 you get only a slideshow on 32 MB device and maybe you get crashes after some minutes.
(*)With a Central_and_Eastern_Europe_1020_9244 and 7 monitored POIs ca. 4MB free RAM)

There's like 8 emulation profiles. What is it that gets tweaked after each reboot? Is there a description of each one somewhere, because I looked at the directory but could find any relevant info. Thanks.

the operation is already explained by Alfred_ML.
the system is from the ttuser master.
is made for 32MB and 64MB devices.
the different emulations; different menu icons, 20 and X30 icons, x40 the most complete, x40light less menus.
    regards

Okay guys thank you for the explanation and clarification.
Just last thing, which file is responsible for including the emulation profile icons within the menu?
I would like to select a profile and then have all the emulation icons gone from the menu.
    Thanks again!

EDIT: BTW, on x40 full profile there are two Map Correction icons in the Menu.

if you create this file, you put it with the navcore files
    first name;
setconfig.txt and write the options you want in on ó off
    model:x40
    sdid:1
    runcheck
changedtext:TomTom GO 9541 simba (tu name)
    ttson
    bton
    fmon

I would like to to hide emulation icons that appear in the menu.
Which file do I need to edit in order to achieve this?
