    Default Best NavCores for car and bike navigation

    Car Navigation:
    NC 9.510.
    (Birthday = Friday 05 April 2013)

    If you don't have a Go, you should rename the file "PNDNavigator_LE" to "PNDNavigator" (replace).

    Bike Navigation:
    Best NC available is the wellknown 9.500 for the RIDER 2013 device.
    (Birthday = Monday 21 January 2013)

    You will need a bluetooth-headset.
    It is expected to work on One 1st, One 2nd, XL 1st, any Go, any Rider.
    On TT-devices without bluetooth this would be useless or you forgo sound.
    Rider User Guide can be found on TTs homepage.

    All:
    I made some modifications
    - to get my NCs work on small devices (32 MB RAM),
    - made them configureable to emulate different devices
    - and patched them to get them work with any map.

    The screenshot feature (shutter noise when touching upper left corner of navigation screen) can be disabled by removing or renaming the folder "screen".

    If your device doesn't have a microphone,
    - remove folder "ASR"
    - don't use an ASR/CSPEECH enabled map

    If you have a small device (32 MB RAM),
    - remove folder "LoquendoTTS"
    - use small maps (only one country)
    - use configuration of a small device ("oneiq" or "xliq" for example)

    Installation
    Just copy the NC of your choice onto an empty sdcard (internal or external),
    add a map and be happy!!
    No patching etc. needed.

    These configurations are available (, but not all are tested yet):
    "x20" = Go x20
    "x30" = Go x30
    "x40" = Go x40
    "x50" = Go x50
    "oneiq" = One IQ == x40light
    "xliq" = XL IQ == x40light2
    "xlliveiq" = XL LIVE IQ == x40light3
    "start" = Start (one config-page)
    "rider" = Urban Rider (only 9.500)

    [Login or Register to remove this advertisement]

    "rider5" = Rider 2013 (only 9.500) <= !!!!!
    "start2" = Start²/XLIQ² (three config-pages) ("simplified menu")
    (configuration files are inside the "collection")

    If your device does not work like expected, try this:
    remove settings.dat, remove mapsettings.cfg, run ClearFlash utility

    This is a collection of my sdcard images (Downloadcontainer):
    download.zip
    The links inside will get invalid within 90 days.

    Agree.

    Have you got a recommended 9.400 for my venerable old go 300?

    I have tried to let Tomtom Home do an automatic update to 9.400 but it does not want to know.

    Regards

    Try my 9.4000 interpretation in mode "oneiq".
    On my One 2nd I get 7.3 MB RAM and fast GUI.

    Hi BMWDriver,

    Good to know that you are alive and well. Haven't seen your postings around for a while. I have 2 questions for my TT920:

    1. I have a TT920 and the most important features I'd like to have are EPT, Voice Commands, and Brightness Sensor. Does your modified 9.400 version have these 3 features at the same time? If so, which emulation has these features?

    If not, can you tell me which of your BMWDriver's NC that has these 3 features at the same time? I think your 9.061 has this? However, I can no longer find your links on other forums. Can you kindly repost that link please?

    2. Do any of your 9.4 emulations have free rds-tmc traffic? (EDIT: I found that x20 emulation gets free RDS-TMC in North America!!!)

    Thanks so much!

    Nope, none of my NCs has all three features at the same time.
    x40 has "Navigate to spoken address" via quick menu, but x50 has "Voice Command & Control"
    My 9051c had the features of x40 and working lightsensor, but 9.400 ist much better.

    To be honest, I would not like to do so, because the 9.400 is really an advantage.

    Thats interesting. Thanks for this info. Btw. its not because I enabled it. I think TT made it possible.
    Would you be so kindly to try modes x40 and/or x50 as well?

    Hi BMWDriver,

    Thanks for your detailed response. For your NC 9.4, I have tested the following functions on my TT920 so far using the different emus:

    Navigate to address (via quick menu): x20, x30
    Full Voice Commands: This is on x40 and x50 (not just x50 as you stated above).
    Light Sensor: x20, x30 (does not work on x40 or x50)
    RDS-TMC Traffic (FM Receiver): x20, x30 (cable not recognized in x40 and x50 mode...i have tried this multiple times)
    EPT: x30 emu works fine (PROBABLY same for x20..did not test x20). EPT does NOT work with x40 emu!

    BEST EMU OF 9.4 SO FAR: x20/x30. This has Light Sensor, RDS Traffic, and EPT. Navigation screen is the new 3-panel. However,there is no Voice Command, and the menu is the old style.

    I was using your 9051c before because it had almost all the features (EPT, light sensor, "new" x40 menu look) except full Voice Command and RDS-TMC.

    Now I am trying out 9.400 x40 emulation. I was really hoping to get EPT, Voice Command, light sensor, and "new x40 menu look" together. No RDS-TMC is ok with me. I guess nothing like that exists!!! I will make an update once I have tested out the EPT function in x40. ***UPDATED: EPT does NOT work with x40 emu!!!!!!***

    Also, I thought your 9.061 is the same as 9.051c except there is no Jukebox and there is Voice Recognition. If that is true, I think your 9.061 is better than 9.4 because it has all the features I need. If you are fine with sending me 9.061 to try out, I would be most appreciative. I have been waiting to try that out for many months now.

    Thanks again.

    Ok, ok. I reuploaded some of my old NCs. Try it and let us know.
    Tnx for the detailed testreport.

    You are right. The 9.400 has "command and control" also in mode x40. Strange...
    USB-TMC does not work in mode x40, x50, because these devices use a special kind of receivers. Details can be found on TTs homepage.

    Great! I will test out your old ones and give a summary. Might take a few days to test out all the features. I am testing out 9.4 x30 emulation today for EPT function.

    UPDATE: I will be updating post #7 periodically for BMWDriver NC 9.4 summary of results. For 9.061 results, I will create a new reply

    BMWDriver: For 9.061, do you have a reskin file that gives X40 emu? X40 should have Jukebox AND Voice Command. By default, your 9.061 is X50 emu, which has no Jukebox.

    Thanks!!!
