I agree. Just completed a 4 hour trip with my TomTom EASE on 9.430. ALG and Speed limits were very hard to see. Now that DSA supports sound in all skins I went back to 9.151 and choose on the fly the Easy Menu (skin 43) or x40 (skin 35).
Hi... I just installed 9430 on my One V2 with oneiq config and noticed the menu options look a little sparse? I no longer have the option to display ETA or Remaining time, which I kinda like. Any ideas?
I noticed same on Live 550 last couple of weeks on drive to Romania, though I use my speedo more for speeds. So far I didn't get a ticket from Germany this time, but is same car as last time and I was at 260 in 130 limit. Apart from watching locals and keeping up with them, or faster, if you have Brit car, I would strongly suggest changing passenger mirror for European driver's mirror. I did this time at Opel in Romania, and it was so much easier seeing. No blind spots. Had I thought earlier, I would have done in Austria or Germany. Was half the price of passenger mirror here too.
One very frustrating thing was, on getting diesel fill, TomTom Liver shut down as it was meant to do, but then coming to life, went into reboot mode. Ended up using on HTC phone, but missed a turn off and was rerouted through southern Austria and all those tunnels and tolls. In evening was really raining hard and with no cat's eyes or light and lots of rain on road, decided to sleep. Woke up in morning to find 4" snow. Anyway, for a change, went through Slovenia, Hungary and Romania. Border was open. Bit early in morning I think.
Got a month road tax for Romania and onward to București. If you never visited Romania, it is lovely place, full of idiot drivers. They do not see many cars with just a passenger and no driver and tend to be helpful with passing - well the lorry drivers are.
With mirror, coming back was a breeze with no blind spots
