Ok, sorry for my difficulty but I try to recover ... So I apply the EDL with windows, then I move to Kali and I do the step you described to apply the patch_nav5.sh Then With filezilla I modify the patch truck and mo do I move to windows to load maps and radars? Thanks.

read the post#1 instructions well
after finishing the patch, use TTWinNav5.exe to install map device, radars remember when downloading do not decompress you have to upload them with the extension .ttpkg with finish.

Hi Simba, everything working .... But I reassembled the device, turned it back on and "first patching failed" comes out ... I try to do it manually and an "Asyncadb" message comes out please whait .... But nothing ... I tried to install backup, but it gives me
error ... In kali it does not make me redefine the patch, and it tells me it is impossible to access the folders ..... Can you help me? How can I delete the patch manually? if when you connect to PC or try to do something, look at your device if you see a window with something like that "Asyncadb" or whatever comes out, you must accept that authorization and try again.
restore backup and return with everything I had, radars maps etc ... EDL node has to put again. When he made his backup with Windows he stood in folder 1_edl used; backup_fdt_userdata.bat, to restore a copy in the same 1_EDL folder you will have the 2 files of your copy, use; restore_fdt_userdata.bat
if the problem is that it does not finish starting it does not solve it MDC or similar,@orni made this manual so as not to disassemble and put Navcore that corresponds to it or the same one that it had if it already had the installed patch.

the @orni manual is for NAV5 not to put in NAV4, the procedure is the same but never put Navcore Nav5 in NAV4 or viceversa. NAV4

I haven't tried it, I don't think it's a problem, it's linked to your phone, warning there are problems with patched devices if you connect MDC it can create problems on the device.

is there a new way to ptch tomtom go discover because its motherboard is completly different from nav5 Generation so there is no pin out to link in order to boot the gps into patch boot mode ? because this tomtom go discover has 22 version on its application version not like nav 5 devices that have just 21
there are some nav5 gps devices that doesn't work in edl mode which means even we use tweezer to connect the gps with edl mode to the pc but it doesn't detect anythings is there another alternative way to enter the gps into edl mode with different pinout?

tomtom discover or tomtom expert or tomtom camper max are Nav6 , new model , so different navcore and different mainboard , at now there is no way to patch them !
about tomtom nav5 , you can patch everyone , there is no model in nav5 that is no patchable ...maybe different pinout ...but are all patchable
there is no other way to patch nav5 , you must use MSTMS patch way , maybe there is an other way but it's unknown ! :tb: and we must be happy that MSTMS team had found a way , so other way are no needed !!!!
