Hello,
I have a new to me TomTom Rider 40 (NAV4) device to which I would like to add maps for an additional country.

I have read through the guide from MSTMS for patching NAV4 Devices which seems self explanatory.

When reading the guide by Orni on downloading and installing NAV4 maps, near the beginning is the comment "I recommend the use of nav4 maps for all devices, except Rider devices".

I do not understand the meaning of this statement, can someone who has updated Nav4 maps for Rider devices please explain what it means?
Do NAV4 map and speedcam updates not work for Rider?

Should I use NAV3 maps?
Or does it mean something else?

I really don't want to brick my device
