However, when I try to change the map on the satnav, it goes to load the map, freezes and then gives a black screen before loading up the previously selected map Europe South West and not Europe with United Kingdom and Ireland buildings.

I made sure to update the meta, so not sure what's wrong. I'm going to try load another map onto my sd card and see if that works.

Yep, tried a different map, no joy there.

Any ideas? I've checked the meta file and that seems fine.

Okay it seems certificates aren't being generated for maps I install.

I've updated the meta and uploaded it, so I don't understand why it isn't working. I've followed all the steps from the patching to installing maps to the T.
Can someone please help?

Hi, I followed the guides for patching my NAV4 (Start 50) and downloading/installing the maps found in the NAV4 forums.

However, I've got a problem.
Whenever I add a map to the device, it refuses to load it. It freezes on a black screen and then defaults back to the map that came on the device.
I've checked the meta and maps are correct, so there's no issues there.

The maps just don't seem to be activating and I'm not sure why. When I check the packages installed in the patch menu, my speed cameras I downloaded using the tools on the forum show up, as do their certificates and the map that came installed on the system, but the maps I try to install appear without a certificate.

Steps I've tried but not worked:
Removing the map and re-installing
Updating the meta.txt file using TTActivator and then transfering it over FTP instead of the Nav4Free.bat
Installing to systems memory and sd cards

The above didn't work.

I'm on the navcore version: 21.200.0003.311 (0) (09/11/2021) and I used MSTMS-Nav4-Navcore21.200_rev2.0 to patch the system.
I'm going to try and remove the patch, restore my backup and reset to factory settings and then try patching and installing maps again.

Will update the post with the outcome of this, but other than that I'm not sure what I can do to get it working correctly.

Got burried under work, so hadn't had a chance to try this again til tonight. Everything is up and running properly after removing the patch, restoring back up and restoring to factory settings; then patching again.
So not sure what happened, going to hazzard a guess the previous owner had the patch on the old navcore and didn't remove it properly? I don't know. Just glad to have it up and running properly now!
