Question Can you manually make a Magic sdcard?

    Hi,
Looking into patching my Start 50, but my card reader has multiple slots for various different card types.

Because of this, Nav4Free.bat sees all of the possible options on my card reader. So I was wondering, if I could mount the Nav4Free.img and copy the files over manually to an SD card or would that not be possible?

If not possible, can I put the SD card into the Start 50, enter recovery mode and make the card
    that way?

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT: SOLVED!

If anyone is trying to use an sd card reader that can read multiple formats of card on one, you can do the following:

Insert your sd card into the card reader and connect to the computer.

From here, open your start menu and type in "Device Manager" without the quotes. Then open the program it will present you.

In Device Manager, find the "Disk drives" section and expand it. You will then see your card reader listed multiple times with all the different types of card it can accept.

To disable them, simply right click on one of them and choose "Disable device".

This will be remembered, even when you unplug it.

Do this for all the options, other than your sd card. If unsure, open the sd card in Windows Explorer. Disable the devices until the sd card is no longer accessbible. Then re-enable said device. Only do it FOR the ones that are not your hard drives.

You can now follow the patching guide!
