i do not doubt that it is doing badly, I have only pointed out some details that sometimes being routine (usual) we overlook.
i do not know if you have done so to restore the device to the state of factory.
he comments that everything works well and when putting the patch everything goes badly and does not see on the start screen splahs patch?
If at the beginning you do not see a patch screen, I understand that the patch has something wrong

I do see the patch menu when the device boots, it even says patching successful.
The loading screen (the anonymous style) that doesn't show up, instead I have the usual TomTom loading screen, then the patch screen.
One thing I noticed (I tried everything again) is that I apply the patch and everything works fine. Then, I reboot the device and I stops working.

The problem is connecting device to MyDrive, it update something that freeze GPS after patching...even if you remove patch, even if you downgrade navcore, problem remain on device

I've my Start 50 in glove box waiting for solution until now..see page 5

according to the comments it seems that several work successfully, but others have problems.
I ask after uninstalling the patch with device off connect to PC.
as they have it configured it will boot or boot with power button fix if during the boot the warning comes out on PC part low to right (photo) that does come out when the patch is installed.

If you made a backup before patching the device, you can restore it and it will work again. Don't connect it to MDC, update firmware the alternative way and apply the patch.

I can confirm that even after uninstalling the patch, the device will freeze once it gets signal. The only way to get it working again is to restore a backup made before installing the patch.
I've patched two GO 60, two GO 500, one GO 600, one GO 5000 and one GO 6000 (and some others that I don't remember now), always connecting to MDC to get the latest Navcore and voices updates, and then installing the patch. This worked fine until June/July, when they updated MDC. After that, the device updates automatically when you connect it to the computer with MDC open and if you install the patch, it will freeze when it gets signal

I'm sorry, but I can't answer the question, because I sold the device, with the original map installed.

Ok, now I'm really, really confused...
Got my hands on a GO 500 yesterday. It still had an old Navcore, from 2018. First things first, made a backup.
Then I used the alternative method to update it to the latest Navcore (21.200). Everything went fine, installed the patch, meta, maps, speedcams... Everything without MDC, not even open in the taskbar (made sure of it).
Conclusion, when it got signal, froze.
Restored the backup, connected it to MDC, let it update. Updated to latest Navcore (21.200), also using MDC.
Closed MDC, installed patch, meta, maps, speedcams... Works perfectly! Go figure...
Only thing I did different from the GO 40 I had before, is that I deleted the maps from the internal memory using MDC before installing the patch, as other user suggested.
So now the question is, is deleting the maps from internal memory the solution, or is just luck that some devices can take the patch and other don't?

    Go 600
    After installing patch
    Patching done
    Black screen tt freezing
Top corner buttons appears but no effect push it
    Stays on black screen
    21.100 and 21.200
    Than downgrade to 20
    Same thing

After uninstall patch when connected to pc shows that USB icon like the patch is still there

Also try to restore, and was 100% restored(took 3h) same result with USB icon

I think sppedcamupdate. Exe downloaded from here it is virus's...

On other devices no problem Patching,, but on this one used that speedcam exe and this is the result.

Antivirus showing troian 32 and some other viruses after scanning archive.
