Default TomTom go live 1005 and rds-tmc antenna

Hello i bought an rds-tmc antenna for my tomtom go live 1005. i wanted to know if to make the antenna work just connect it to the navigator or should i configure rds-tmc with ttactivator?
now when i open tomtom traffic i get an error message: error code 107 which should concern a problem related to the sim. now i hope that when i connect the antenna to the navigator the tomtom traffic menu will open. if it doesn't work, just install rds-tmc with ttactivetor?

It's not mandatory to install RDS-TMC via TTActivator, the regular Navcore should work out of the box as long as TomTom has an agreement/license with a traffic provider in your country and your device came pre-installed with the traffic license file (mctx.dat).

If you use TTActivator however, you will have more control over which provider will be selected by the traffic receiver if there is more than one available. For example, you may choose to disable the free traffic services. TTActivator can also support more countries/providers than what is normally allowed by TomTom because it combines service data from Garmin and iGO as well.

Most NAV3 devices come pre-installed with "tmc_lowend" which is a traffic license file (mctx.dat) from 2011. Here the comparison chart between that and TTActivator.

Yes, TTActivator will unlock much more traffic services if you enable all the services and install it to the device.

The configuration options for TomTom Traffic can be changed through the TomTom Traffic menu (under Services) or by pressing the bar on the right-side of the screen when the RDS-TMC receiver is connected.

I have installed everything and I am trying on the road, as a configuration of the services I think I have left them all active, since if I want to try to configure them, the manual configuration option comes out. it's correct? did I leave all the services active?
    Sorry for my english

Leaving all of them active means the RDS-TMC receiver will connect to the first radio station it finds with any activated service.

For example, in Germany, there are 18 services available:
ANTENNE 1, ANTENNE B, ANTENNE N, BASt, DLF, FFH, HERE Traffic, Hit 1, HR, MDR, NDR, RBB, SR, SWR, TMC BDR, TMC-BR, TMCRB, WDR

However, you might only prefer the traffic information only from HERE Traffic because it is a paid service with better traffic data. In that case, you have to uncheck the ones you don't want the receiver to connect to inside TTActivator and install the RDS-TMC configuration again.

    1) I live in Italy, would you kindly give me some advice on which to activate? thank you
    2) how do i know if the antenna is connected? I made a path and on the right of the navigator a transparent bar came out on the right but it did not give me any data on traffic. it is also true that I did not find any traffic along the route
    Sorry for my english

I don't live in Europe so I cannot give any specific advice. TTActivator only has 1 traffic provider for Italy (Infoblu) so it does not matter.

When you connect the antenna it should come up like this with a bar on the right side and a spinning circle:

Once all the traffic events have been received by the device you will get this icon with cars in the corner (it will take some time):

If you check the full map view of your city you should be able to see events too.

Also, I've done some research and in Italy, the Infoblu RDS-TMC service is broadcast on the same FM station as RTL 102.5. Do you have good reception of that station in your area? It might also help to manually tune into the FM frequency for that station as well.

If you click on the transparent bar on the right and click Traffic Settings, you can check the "Tune manually by entering a frequency" option and then you will have a new menu option called "Tune Manually" . There you can enter the FM station for RTL 102.5 to "help" the RDS-TMC receiver find the right FM station.

Ok ok I'll try and inform you. furthermore, since I have loaded all the services with ttactivator, should I leave them or just download the info-blu rds-tmc one?
    Sorry for my english
