Hi guys .

Before I take the plunge .

I've been a long time follower of the various t*omt*m forums for quite a few years . Even before the days of the original ttactivator . Anyway I'm in the strange position of having read most posts on the device that I had , to solve
any issues and battle through to get the maps and navcore on my device of the time (A XXL one I believe ? That I've had for many years .) So park be had very little recourse to post or ask questions . Thanks to all the familiar names for providing an excellent helpful service . And it seems now some new (To me anyway LOL) names too . Doing excellent research and testing lightyears above my pay grade . Thank you all .
I have now decided it is time to move on . I have studied the various charts and tables and have come to the conclusion that the best device for me to mod for truck maps would be a Start 60 with lifetime maps . (Serial number starting WN******* .) From what I can gather this would be a 6" screened device with 8gb of ram AND a memory card slot . This is where the confusion "Start"s (No pun intended LOL)
Would I still be able to keep all the cspeech files etc without deleting any AND not get the dreaded slow down that some users are reporting (On other similar nav3 devices admittedly) ? Or would the 8gb be sufficient to negate the need to load the original map AND the truck map . With the "hack" / "work around" of having to delete speech files etc ? Would I still need to install the truck map on a memory card and have the original map on internal memory ? Has the greyed out "postcodes" button in TTactivator issue been fixed yet ? I read someone was unable to load the postcodes onto their device because of this but did not find the answer/solution (Although it is highly likely I have missed it)

TLR :- Thanks . Awesome work .
Will I be able to get fully working truck maps with postcodes (Not bothered about speech) on an 8gb Start 60(Lifetime maps version) without slow down issues .

Thanks
