I do not know what you have done wrong, but if you do not see the map or the map has not been installed or the patch is missing.

Sure the patch failed before or the map installation.

Same problem for me.
After I finished all steps described in the video, my device can't load the map.
I have to patch it, upload metadata again, then select map, after that, it works very well.
My device is Start 20.
I guess: installing new map overwrite some files of path and metadata? so, we have to re-patch, and re-metadata.Last edited by yuebianyun; 14th September 2020 at 10:13 PM.

I tried my TomTom start 20 with some small size maps: malaysia, new zealand, taiwan, got the same result: after I installed a new map, I have to re-patch , and re-upload meta package.
But, if I installed map in the microSD, it works very well, no more extra patch or meta upload is needed.Last edited by yuebianyun; 14th September 2020 at 10:13 PM.

hi all , and what a great forum,,,,,,,,,,,
i have been having a lot of trouble getting the western europe map on the 8gig sd card on my tt 125, the ttactivator works great on putting maps on the internal memory, but using R-Link explorer works but up till now have not managed to get the map to work when inserted into my start 125, there seems to be varied info on how to do this, its a great pity ttactivator cannot give you a choice on where to install the maps, maybe a future version, but just wanted to say what a great program as it meant i could use my old start again with new maps which had been sat in the cupboard for a number of years, if anyone can shed light on what i am doing wrong it would be great.
also i have read most of the info on here and the guides, but nothing seems to work....

just downloaded another r link and i see there are some extra files in it like SDH model, did not have them in my version, might help

Just updated a Via 125 and a start 20 to the latest UK map ,all went very smoothly so big thank you to all those involved
