How to put community radars on the map of the card.

Place the ov2, bmp, ogg files on the map you are going to install on the card, each file must be named the same way in each category, for example for the category radar_fix_50 it must have three files with the same name:

    • fixed_radar_50.ov2
    • fixed_radar_50.bmp
    • fixed_radar_50.ogg

An example with the Iberia map and JuanAlv's radars:

Proceed as for installing the map on the card from Rlink Explorer.
The gps should already contain the act_ttn _... patch and it will have restarted until you hear the drums to make the patch work.
Load the card into gps and reboot until the flavors sound.
Proceed to configure the distances in the same way as you do with nav2 maps. By having the sounds on the map during setup you don't have to select the sound:

Press on the screen to enter the menu.
    Click on settings:

Go to the "Manage POI" icon

Click on "Warn if there is a POI nearby"

Select a category, in the example we select the 120 and we see the 100 already configured.

Point out the meters in advance of the notice and click next:

Point to the "Sound effect" option and click next:

I leave the option "Notify only if the POI is on the route" unchecked, click on "Done":

Repeat the steps in all the categories, the "Warn if there is POI nearby" screen always returns

Then you will see the speaker icon in the already configured category:

In Renault R-LInk it also works, Simba has carried it like this, tested more than a year.
Please note that all 3 .ov2 .bmp and .ogg files must have the same name, for example:
    • fixed_30.ov2
    • fixed_30.bmp
    • fixed_30.ogg

When you select the one you want you don't have to search for the warning voice, it is already default.

You must mention the origin and source, and appreciate the great work of MSTMS.

Updated tutorial, they can add or modify what they deem convenient.

Install unofficial radars in tomtom series GO, VIA and STAR20 / 25 valid for nav3, NOT nav4 / 5.

The tests are done on a Start25 the operation on the GO, VIA and STAR20 must be the same.

If you use MyDrive Connect (not recommended) with the tomtom connected to the PC, in the bottom right bar, next to the clock, the MY drive icon appears:

    • Right click on the menu click on add community content.
    • In the web that comes out where it says add POI, you give to examine.
    • In the window that appears, choose on your PC the folder where you have saved the ".bmp" and "ov2" files of the radars, choose the ones you want to put and then install.
    • When you have them all down for bass and where it puts sounds and warnings you add the ogg files.
    • Using the same procedure as before for ".bmp" and "ov2"
    • You can also put the ".bmp" and "ov2" files in a folder, select them all and load them all at once.

    For those who do not get the option, add community content, with the tomtom connected and turned on, copy and paste the low one in your internet browser;

Once installed, to activate them and put warning distance follow the steps of the capture in the order that they are , settings, manage POIs, notify if there are POIs nearby.

IMPORTANT: If once they do not appear on the TomTom, do not worry about doing the following:
    • Turn the TomTom off, press and hold the power button without letting go, it will go on, still without letting go, the drums will be heard, then the black screen, the information of the device ID number, RAM, ETC ...
    • Release the power button, if it does not restart by itself, turn it off and you already turn it on normally,
    • You are looking for a menu / manage PDI / warn PDI close and you will see them and you will be able to activate, you will hear the speed limit by voice and if it is fixed, camouflaged, etc ... You will see the icon with the speed limit, choose the distance you want it to warn, 250 m ., 300 m., Etc ...

NOTE: It is recommended NOT TO ACTIVATE, if you activate the box, warn only if the POI is on the route, it will NOT warn you when you do not have a marked route.
Once you are in community content, you will see this, add POI. As an example I have put 3, you can put many more.

Click on browse you look for the folder where you have the .ov2 and .bmp, select them, click on open and click on install, it looks like this ...

To add low warning voices at the bottom of the page and in adding warning sounds, you do the same as the previous step.

Click on browse, look for the folder where you have the .ogg, select them all, click on open, and click on install, it looks like this ...

In the other options you can add more things, eg. custom guide voices, change guide arrow for car custom guide, etc ...
