So - to have some "clear" result about your experiences, work in Device2 maps for Device3 with no complications? Or are some limitations?
When the parts that are not used are removed, it should work normally.
If you have enough space to install the map, no adjustments are necessary
I had no complications going from Map 2 device to Map 3 device except street names and roads were pronounced as different names, as mentioned earlier. Logan Reserve Road became Logistic Circuit, how this happened is beyond me, I've always used light green maps. Something in the Map 3 has caused it. After trial and error I went back to the old map in the Map 2 device and all street and road names were correctly spoken..that is Logan Reserve Road is spoken as Logan Reserve Road.
I'll have another go at installing Map 3 again in the next day or two and road test again. I'll report back what transpires. Cheers.
PeterHimself,
I can confirm the Navcore I have is v9.541.2-2042
The only thing I can think of now is that your cspeech file is not good.
Try this one
I'll redo the new map and see how it goes.
Let you know later tomorrow.
After deleting and reinstalling and adding the new cspeech AUS file, one again I was hearing street names that don't exist.
It's got me beat what the issue is. So back I go to the old nav 2 map.
In the meantime, you can wait for the next wave of new maps, perhaps this week.
Yep, I will, in the meantime I've gone back to TomTom Australia v1110_11861. Everything works good on that map. Unfortunately lot of new suburbs have been built since.
I double checked my device, its TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition.
