    Which TomTom you are talking about?
    First two digits of serial number are important.

    Sorry I should have specified it's for a Tomtom Start 20 and other newer devices that only opens in MyDrive Connect where the unit does not show as a drive in windows but rather as a Network Adapter.

    you will find that your device is a so called NAV3 device.
    It will be a Start 20 (AY), Start 20 /Via 1400/1405 TTS (AP) or a Start 20 TTS (AO)
    The last one is EoL (End of Life) and not supported by TomTom anymore.
    on those devices is no normal browser-like access possible other than MyDriveConnect

    But as pe1agp says: you can manage them with the fantastic tool of Master131
