Then it's not a memory card error. Make a new clean install of NC and maps(s). Before a formatting of the SD with a flash memory formatting tool (not with the Windows formatting!) is recommended.

There is no Internal memory for this Tomtom One XL. If it's not a memory card error how would this help. Apologies if I'm being stupid but the clean install of NC and maps would only be by using an SD Card.

What does the non-existent internal storage have to do with it? You are know, that only the NC (installed on SD) can write changed user data to the memory card? And that this NC should be undamaged/not corrupted for a proper work?

P.S: You can also create replies without having to fully quote the previous post.

Hi Alfred_ML, Livvy must have his clean to install 9.510 including UK & IR speedcams and so on
The whole stuff is running well on my One XL using as storage an SDHC card 14GB
Now I'm wondering, when it's possible to store data with his device on an SD card, which he did before,
for what reason give that device an error that it is impossible to write data.

I would still suggest to run a clear flash.
look at post #5 and #11.
this will clear the flash/cache memory of your device.

I assumed that he has already done this. That is why i suspected a corrupted NC.

Hi Peter thanks for your reply. I have done a clear flash and it has sorted the problem as the message no longer appears and the Tomtom is now starting up without going thr'o the setup stage every time.

All the help given has been much appreciated and apologies to Alfred_ML for me being stupid in one of my replies. Most people come on here with very little knowledge and rely on the "experts" to give us advice without having to be nippy in their reply. It's Nice To Be Nice.

In connection with replying with the previous quote it is an option on the website and helps the person to know who you are replying to when there are several replies on the thread. Thanks anyway.

A very useful option if the post to be answered is not the last one or if you want answer only to a part of the last reply. But generally no need of this option for a direct answer. But the main thing is that your TT is running again .
