2 hours isn't bad if it's busy planning/running a route although you'd expect a bit more if it's not navigating anywhere, BUT, remember these (like all other satnavs), are actually designed to be continuously plugged in/powered, not handheld like a smartphone so you'll never get more that perhaps >3hrs if you're very lucky

I am remembering that laptops have a Li-ion battery and, however, it is recommended that they be used as little as possible connected to the electrical network, because it deteriorates the battery a lot. What to do, if possible, is to use it unplugged and do it only when it needs to be reloaded.
I think something similar should happen in GPS devices. The principle must be the same. Perhaps the batteries deteriorate a lot, because they are always connected to the 12 v power supply.
I'm going to consider, disconnect it, every time the led lights green and use it offline until it tells me that the battery is low. Then I will have it with 12 v until the led turns green again and so on. Obviously without interrupting driving.
Perhaps this way, the life of the battery will be considerably lengthened, since in the case of laptops, experts insist that it is very harmful that they work connected with a cable to the electrical network and that it should be avoided as much as possible.
I am not talking about combating the memory effect, which is clear that these types of batteries do not have, I am talking about not being connected to the load while the device is being used.
For the rest, we know that the batteries do not need to be empty to proceed to charge them, as they are Li-ion.

With that ratio, on your same device, a 1100 mAh battery should last more than 3 hours and 40 minutes, a 1000 mAh battery should last more than 3 hours and 20 minutes and a 950 mAh battery would last more than 3 hours and 10 minutes, , that is, each additional 50 mAh, give a little more than 10 minutes of autonomy.

Battery running time is calculated by the current a specific device draws and WILL vary from model to model, age/condition/level of charge of the battery, whether it's on a planned route (including distance & complexity), spoken instructions volume, screen brightness, number of visible satellites & even temperature too. (2, 3, 4 hours whatever!) Either way, they are not designed to run unpowered.
Without going into the complexities of battery type/life etc surely you just need to find/buy/fit the right sized battery for your device at the right price, nothing more, nothing less.

They were only thoughts that do not affect the battery change, taking the device and Azzab's estimates as a reference.
The fact is that, when I visit a European city, especially if it is not a small one, many times, I carry the tomtom, in pedestrian mode and making a route between the pdis "what to see", which I have stored in the device, but not in the Maps of the mobile phone. That route can cost me 3, 4 or 5 hours walking and it is always good to know how long I can wait for the gps to help me and to ensure that I have energy to visit, at least the most important.
The previous calculations, at least, give me an idea that the battery life time can be enough for me, conveniently turning it off when not strictly necessary.

If it is so important that you can use your TomTom for hours but not your smartphone instead, have you ever considered buying a sturdy power bank of about 10,000 mAh or with even more capacity.

You shouldn't expect that such a small device contains a battery that will last for 2 days.

I have a GoPro Session on my motorcycle helmet and the battery does not last longer than an hour at the most, so I connected a power bank of about 10,000 mAh that I carry in my pocket on a 64GB does not last more than 4 hours of HD video, but that power bank is not half empty after those 4 hours.
You cannot and should not expect miracles from such a navigation device, it is nice that that thing usually takes you where you want to be.

Not using the mobile is not a question of battery. I have my custom pdis on the Tomtom and I handle it better than Google maps.
I operate the Tomtom, in that case, in 2D map mode, which, for this specific tourist use, I prefer it to 3D and I use it on that Go 950 device, because I don't have the Tomtom installed on the mobile phone. When I had it, that version did not support searching by latitude-longitude coordinates, which I see as essential and I have a collection of interesting places, by coordinates, placed in a pdi * .ov, which I visit by vehicle or on foot, indistinctly, and which I collect and I enter from blogs, social networks or viewing by satellite scanning myself. When I go in a motorhome and I look for suitable places to stay or sleep, some of which I have explored myself, from the satellite or the Internet, this way of proceeding is very useful for me.
I started to have the problem when the battery was damaged, because before everything went well with the GPS. as soon as I replace it, everything will be fine again.

I thank you and I take note of everything, both about the power banks, which I have, looking for it to be easily portable, as well as the tips so that the batteries last much longer.
Because of people like you, I keep learning ...
