TT GO 930 broken after NAVCORE 9.541 update.

    Default TT GO 930 broken after NAVCORE 9.541 update.

    My father have been using this TT with NAVCORE 8.351, and everything was working smooth (for him)

    That was until he got an email saying he had to upgrade to latest NAVCORE 9.541, to be able to use his TT.
    After the upgrade, suddenly only the HALF LEFT side of the screen is working, and he is no longer able to push any buttons on the other HALF RIGHT.

    Since this product is out of service, TT Support will not even answer questions regarding his problem.

    I tried to recover his TT back to NAVCORE 8.351, but now it says there is no maps installed.

    I also tried to update with NAVCORE 9.500, but the screen is still malfuncion.

    Can anyone help me to solve this problem, other than bying a new one?

    Did you use a map that is compatible whit your navcore 8.351 ?

    If the new installed navcore is a original one, you have to patch it with i.e Fastactivate

    It seems to me very unlikely that with the replacement of the Navcore the navigator has become unusable.
    Perhaps an unnecessary question, did you make a complete backup before you started the update?
    If that is the case and you put everything back, what is the result?

    @Sammykid: And do not forget: You also need an update of the gps-chip-firmware for this device.
    On your device: GPSFirmwareVersion = GSW3.2.4TT_3.1.00.12-C35B1.02
    Update to GSW3.2.5 recommended. Look here (Part "B" Nr.3:The ultimate solution):

    Hi, and thx for all feedback.

    I re-installed the TTGO with version 8.351 and with Scandinavia 1025.9389 and everything is up and running, and screen is responding 100%. Made a backup of that config, and tried upgrading to 9.541 through TT HOME. After upgrading, the screen is once again broken. Only half the screen is working.

    @Jeanet Yes, I'm 100% sure that the map is compatible. Also tried with an FastActivate. The map is working, but still the half right screen is not responding with any touch.

    @biggerdave Will try out this calibration. First off I will go back to 8.351 which I know is working, and the screen is working. Then I will upgrade to newest version, and use the calibrating program, with settings made from 8.351.

    @pe1agp Well in fact, it seems to be so. I formatted the internal memory, and updated with TT HOME, an NAVCORE version 8.351was back again. Now the screen is working. When re-docking the next time, TT HOME tells me there is an update, NAVCORE 9.541 and then again, the right half of the screen is not responding to any touch.

    @Alfred_ML I will have a look into it.

    Try first Navcore 9.510
    I'm not sure is the GO 930 a 32 or 64 mb devcice ?

    Also tried 9.510, but the problem is still the same. No response of touch on the half right screen.

    Would gladly test yours as well to see if that has another solution.

    TT GO 930 broken after NAVCORE 9.541 update.
    I've found a Navcore 9.510 wirh a build in Calibration, next follow the manual:

    9.510 calib.


    After Install goes to the Skin Chooser (menu 4 of 4)
    Click on it and you got the calibration screen and start calibration.
    The next screen Dubbel click on the 25.
    The device restart and hopefully the screen is alright (after the calibration).
    You can go to the Skin Chooser and choose another emulation.
    Calibration is no more possible. If you want to calibration again you
    have to install the 9.510 calib again.

    Hi, thx for quick response.

    Unfortunately, I have tried to run Calitration on 9.xxx and the problem is that I can not navigate through the system. When trying to move to page/menu4 which is to use the arrow on the right side of the panel, I can not reach that page. Therefore I will try to use the calibration on an older version, that I know for sure the touch panel is working.
    How come this only happens on this unit, does no one else have this problem?
