No need to set a mode, this NC comes with x40 design. That's why no skinchooser included, NC is pure TomTom. You can try this (It's the same i had on my Go 920):

You have to exchange the german voices for yours (folder "voices" and "Loquendo TTS").

Edit: I've seen, you has an X40 (Go 940) with GL2 GPS-chip. These devices necessarily require a rollover-fixed NC. So you can't use the 9.702 anymore (If you use it, only with the reset error).

    I correct myself
I have left the internal memory of the GO920 empty.
In an 8 GB SDHC I installed navcore 9541 and the map of Europe_1025_9386.
I have updated the time manually because the battery is very old and if it is off, it loses time.
I have programmed a 50 km route and return home.
Take satellites well and do not lose time.

Two simulair TomTom Start Devices, serial XM chipset GL2.

First one with Navcore 9541 no time issue
The second one with Navcore 9051 have time issue.
Only a GPS quickfix from TT Home don't solve the problem.
After update the second one with NC 9541 by TT home and Synchronize the time, the problem is gone.

TomTom XL Live serial R1 chipset GL2, after update to NC 9541 by TT home the time problem is gone.

Good news. I just checked go910 (sirf iii) with SE NC 9.510. Everything works just fine. No problem with the time issue. Enjoy your future journeys.

    Bonjour,

J'ai effectué avec succès des tests sur les modèles suivants: GO 920, GO 630, GO 730, GO 930, GO 540, GO 940, GO 750, GO 950 et GO 9000.

The solution for the TomTom Truck using the official or modified 9.702 navcore is very simple: just replace a single file (the "glgps" in the "bin" folder) with the attached version. It is necessary to replace the file \bin \glgps of 9.702 by that of 9.541. Everything then works normally on GO x20, x30, x40 and x50.

    P. S. The "gl" of "glgps" probably means "Global Locate".

I have successfully tested on the following models: GO 920, GO 630, GO 730, GO 930, GO 540, GO 940, GO 750, GO 950 and GO 9000. I do not have a One to test.

    N. B. The same modification also works for navcores 9.510 and 9.401 (I tried). It's interesting for French people, because the 9.401 is the last navcore before 9.510 which still indicates the exact position of the radars in France after the law of January 5th, 2012 which forbids it.

Not looking good for the ONE.
No bin folder or glgps file in the original 8.010 Navcore.
The time problem remains if the 9.541 Navcore is used.
