I updated the Firmware of my go930 to 3.6.0 to solve the WNRO problem. I still have to test it to know if the problem is solved or not.
It also have a One XL II with a SiRFstarIII. Is it also possible to solve the WNRO problem on this device with a FW-update? Or is the Quickfix the only solution?
My Rider v2 has also a Sirf Star 3, works like a charm
I see different NC intern 9380 and extern 9510. Should I make both the same? Which NC should I use to have no problem with WNRO? A new one?
on I see the navecore for a ONE XL is 8010. Do I use wrong ones?
A One XL will work with 9.510, WNRO proof 9.541 I'm afraid will make you device sloooooow
and if I use 9.510 on the ONE XL the WNRO is not solved I suppose? I have to do a Quickfix every 5 days, or use suicide to make it work?
Yes, I'm afraid it's the only solution for you at this moment.
Run Quickfix short before departure
If the firmware is updated on your go 930 and you don't mind losing the navcore 9510 (I don't know if there are switchfiles). Update to navcore 9541 with TThome, patch the new navcore with TTActivator, your wnro problem will be fixed.
Another less attractive option, putting the "glgps" file from the "bin" folder of the navcore 9541 in your current navcore 9510, that also solves wnro, but is less recommended.
Any devices with SirfStar III (Gox20/30/7000, some ONEs and riders) can be WNRO-fixed with new GPS-chip-firmware 3.2.5 or 3.6.0. After this you never need a quick-gps-fix. The folder "ephem" can be empty for the future.
You can keep your old NC 8.010 or update to a SE 9.510 if you want.
@Orni: The file "glgps" has no effect on a device with SirfStar III or GL1. You can even delete them without problems. This file only needed for devices with GL2-gps-chip (like x40/50/9000 and 64 MB XL). The WNRO-fix for GL1 devices only possible with the "treysis-fix" (NC-extension).
Copying over only glgps instead of putting the new nc9.541 is even THE RECOMMENDED option! Not less recommended, but the opposite! And yes, it will only solve WNRO for devices with GL2 gps chip.
So, @pe1agp , for your One XL just use my WNRO patch (the same that works for Rider 2013/K4). It will solve your time-reset-to-midnight-issue.
