    I knew it already, because I use it successfully for several years on a GO 9000 and many GO 920, 930, 940 and 950 :-). This is one of the reasons why I chose it after meticulously testing 6 different versions.[/QUOTE]

    and what are you already using successfully on the GO920 I still get complaints that it does one day and the next day again no GPS and that is so different every day ..

    That will do nothing on the GO920 because it has SiRFstarIII and doesn't use the glgps file at all.

    @Charlie62
    Ok that is very funny I have no explanation.

    but why does the GPS work on Monday and not on my GO920 on Tuesday

    Because your Go x20/30/7000 hasn't a suicide.dat or an current and valid GpsFix (*). With a suicide.dat you don't need a GpsFix anymore (folder "ephem" can be completely empty) , only a little bit more time at any start until the Go is completely up. Or you use the option with a new SatFix if you get problems.

    (*) This SE-version of the NC 9.702 has no effect on any WNRO problems of SirfStar III devices, so behaves in this regard as a normal. But with more free RAM (before ~10 MB, now ~ 24MB) and others. You still need one of the two options above to fix the satellite search problem of the Gox20/30/7000.

    You might also find it works the first time you switch it on each day but not after a restart . nobody has found a fix yet so you have to add the suicide dat file , use the reset button or do a regular gps update.

    @BMWdriver
    If you integrate it into NC, it would actually be even better to integrate it directly into ttsystem. I.e. directly modifying the scripts/ini instead of needing to copy them first. Also maybe copying ttconv into the initrd image instead of leaving it on SD. That would be beneficial because then you wouldn't have to wait for start of the gps, stopping it, and starting it again. Also, no ttn file would be necessary anymore. It would be totally transparent. Also, if TT releases an official patch, this would probably get overwritten by a new official ttsystem.
    But for current distribution it's much easier to just apply the patch as it is now. Especially since it's so much smaller than a whole ttsystem file and universal for more devices.
    I guess once I'm satisfied I will integrate it into my ttsystem.

    no one has found a solution, so you must add the suicide data file, use the reset button or perform a regular GPS update.
    Where do I find the suicide file and where do I put it, and when I reset the tomtom hole and then the gps works again?
