I made available for an experiment the Navcore 9.510 as used in post # 141
Omitted are all voices, all but one arrows, cars, LoquendoTTS and VocalizerTTS, in principle irrelevant parts of the Navcore.
Goodluck
Thanks!
Installed on ONE 30 Series (v8) PB with GL1.
Boots OK, finds satellites, interface OK, I can navigate, using a 1025 map.
Clock always resets to 0:00 even after Sync time or manual time setting.
I can live with it.
Did you set a route first ?
Read once more my experience
Without a route it happen the same.
In the meantime, I wonder if two of the same TomToms have ever been made
It works now! Time is OK with your trick.
You not only have to set a route, but actually start to navigate in demo mode too.
When you only set a route and try to set or Synch time, it will reset to 0:00
When you start demo mode and then set time, the Synchr. button is missing and time can be set.
Time will then be correct and "stick".
I'll test some more. This is a good work-around.
Bad luck, but what could be the reason, what is exactly the differenc between both Navcore's
Let us hope for a realy smart person.
This is exactly what I did all the time.
I didn't test it in real
Some more testing.
The time you set will be increased by the time of the route.
When you delete your route, sometimes the time will be reset, sometimes not.
it works here for me. I was testing on a SDCard version of my GO720 with the software change. Both before and after. Worked fine. I also used the TT version as an experiment to see if that worked. It did as well. I was using it in demo mode, as I sold my 720s years ago. On my GO5200 unit I did not need to make changes, works fine. So I tested on my Android version too. That is fine too. That is a legit version, though. I cannot comment on a hacked version, but the real version is fine
Regards to all that try these things as well
