    Default 1015.9105 map kills GO730

I have used for a few years a GO730, for the last couple of years with navcore 9.540 SE without issues until I tried the 1015.9105 map for USA and Canada.
Unpacking the map didn't give me any error, activating it also went without a hitch, but the GO 730 doesn't start when that map is selected.
Luckily, I could connect to my laptop and delete it from the SD card. Went back to the 1010.8889 map, no problems there.
Tried another SD card, same result.

Are you using the latest/updated FastActivate to ensure you have the meta code (do you see a meta.dct file inside the new map folder)?
Have (or had you previously) patched the navcore?

re-download map from different location - perhaps archive you unpacked is damaged (maybe some files inside it corrupted).

I have just tested the map on my GO910 and can not detect any problems.
The following possibilities could apply here.
As suggested by Biggerdave, everything is equipped with a patch, also your Navcore,
do you have the latest meta codes at hand? .
I also go with the thoughts of Rusigor, convince you that the card is not missing something.
The size of the map measured here is 2,430,107,648 bytes, there can be a small difference if, for example, the dct file is missing

have you tried to activate the map with the method for alternative missing metas?
with that method sometimes the go is unable to boot.
    remove and replace the map.

    happened to me also

@superg: I can assure you that the USA_Canada_1015_9105 runs without any problems on my Go920. Activated with the code for this map. When you get boot loops after selecting the map, this is always an indicating for an improperly activated map (wrong or fake-code) or missing/corrupt files in the map folder.

....or even try deleting (cut/paste/save to your PC) your mapsettings.cfg from the new map folder if you have one?

That's true. In rare cases, a old mapsettings.cfg (copied from another or former map) can trigger boot loops. In these cases is "working with my TomTom" under TT-Home the solution. After this your TT should starts normal.

    a) verified I am using the latest FastActivate
    b)deleted mapsettings.cfg
    c)verified the navcore is patched
d)the map folder size is 2,426,163,704 so maybe there's the problem.
I'll try finding that map in a different location, if I can't it won't be the end of the world.
Thank you all for your suggestions, I am overwhelmed.
