But a discussion about impossible things is pretty pointless ...

You can't use a NAV3/4-NC on a NAV2 device and you can't use a NAV4-map not even with known meta-Code on a NAV2-device. And certainly not a Go-app map. Only NAV3-maps with known code are possible. These things are a fact, no speculation.

By the way: There was nothing to "crack" in the Go-app maps (these always for free), "only" the usage restriction in the Go-app had to be canceled out.

Discussion is not when one says impossible it is impossible without reasoning. Sounds like when experts said before Wright brothers that things heavier than air couldn't fly, it was impossible. Now we take airplane for granted. Thanks.

In plain English, for many years our experts have been trying but seemed to have (understandably) given up now and are concentrating on more worthy causes (in their minds)

Therefore currently "impossible" and very unlikely to ever get cracked after all this time

If you manage to "crack" the system, I'm sure many people on the forum would be extremely grateful, however, I form the "impression" that you are not a coder and simply want someone else to do as you ask, but you will not accept that those who know a great deal about these things have tried, failed, and moved on.

I would hope I'm wrong, in which case I look forward to the day you are successful where they have failed...

The guys at TT are sometimes a little bit confused, but they are no idiots. They have learned from the protection-mistakes of the NAV2 devices.
They would probably offer no maps for free, if you could use them on other devices. The free Go-app maps can not even be transferred to another smartphone! The magic word is a powerful encryption of the PNA-NC/Go-App! But you are welcome to dream your dream ...or ask the NSA .

Answer this simple question: Why should a NAV5 map / Go-map run on an old NAV2-device if these devices already can't read a NAV4 map with known unlock code? The NAV4/5 Hardware and the compression of map-parts is totally different (32/64 MB RAM vs. 128 MB). That alone is protection enough ...

Just as a map (High-level-u) for a navCore 9 pnas can not run on NavCore 6, 7, 8, the nav4 and nav5 maps do not work with NavCore 9 are different systems.
Besides the great explanation given by the teacher Alfred_ML I want to add that the pna nav2 work based Linux and GPS nav4 and nav5 running android system.

@vda767 you try to install any app from Google Play on your TomTom GO with NavCore 9510.
