    Default TonTom XL looks dead.

    Hello members, i have a question and hope yo can help me.
    I updated a XL one and everiting went well. But normaly i just unplug the usb cable en wait till it starts up, but this time i re connected it bij the computer option eject.
    now the XL dont do anithing anymore, when i press the start button for 30 seconds or longer nothing happends.

    anny solution?

    Battery worn out?! The USB port often does not provide enough power to power the device. Alternatively: Connect the device to another power source.

    I connected it to the tomtom home charger, but no result.

    Clearflash wil not work, I can not connect to the computer, it is not recognized.

    TonTom XL looks dead.
    It could be the microswitch is broken, clould you hear a soft click ?
    Measure the ouput voltage of your power supply
    Next step is to measure inside if the USB with all his connections is connected with the mainboard
    These USB connectors are very quickly broken.
    But when you're sure there is a little power left in the battery and it still won't switch on, it's not the USB connector
    Watch to see if the light goes on when connected with your power supply or USB port
    No light no charge, must something lost a connection inside, be carefull with all these SMD parts

    I hear a click when i push the button and when i connect it to the tomtom power suply the green light goes on, but it won't start, no drums no nothing.

    TonTom XL looks dead.
    Green light ONLY shows power getting to the device & not that it's charging the battery or anything else. Have you tried replacing the battery?
