OK, it was not easy and quick but with happy end

of course that I was skipping most of instructions, and of course that I didn't make backup, and of course I found myself with non-working device...I don't know why...
downloaded maps (Central_and_Eastern_Europe_1015_9104) should work with navcore version 9.510 (I had troubles to download other versions)
meta.txt with 1015 codes downloaded, put in root of device
Latest-FastActivate found and put in root of device

but ended in device which don't even load navcore...

After some reading and making backups at this point !!
    I deleted everything from device
Conected it to TomTome Home - it dowloaded navcore and some other stuff, I had maps downloaded before

and it worked again like before...with old maps

second try - didn't download anything new:
    1. delete maps folder
    2. copy new maps folder to device
    3. copy Latest-FastActivate and meta.txt to root
    4. run Latest-FastActivate, use option 2 & 3

    and it works now!
and still don't know why I have lost 2 days

    Thank you for help!

A new threat to older Nav2 devices such as my trusty TT One 4N01 Ver6 GPS facing 6 April has rollover issues. Punching in the serial number reveals time and time to destination will cease. Surely a patch for 8.010 or gps patch can be developed. If TT are too enfeebled, maybe a board member might. It has the latest maps, and was perfectly upgradable. TT did it for France speedcams oops black spots.

What I did notice was the USB1 or memory was having some errors, and I persisted with smaller copies, and leaving failed files occupying bad memory spots after a rename. One all files copied - good as new. So TT needs to add a memory test in the future.

I would be ashamed of my company for being seen to loose its technical edge. Australia now has main road overhead cameras looking down to snap and fine driver holding their phone /GoogleMaps. So GPS may make a minor comeback. Also down under 'Lifetime' maps has been queried by our consumer affairs regulatiors.

Is there any possible to buy map that works with windows ce? There is still maps that would work eg 1025 maps are

    1025.9390
    1025.9391
    1025.9392
    1025.9432
    1025.9434

so is it possible with any device to active these maps?

I doubt that any windows ce device is still supported by TT BUT remember that maps are dependent on the application/navcore, not the model so check here

Till a few months ago, my HP iPAQ 2210 died, I was still able when a meta available of course to run one of these maps above
It was my very first Navigator with an external GPS receiver, later I bought one which you could connect with the PCMCIA connector
I still have the latest GPS receiver, but I'm not sure about the first

    Default Another EOL?? :-[ :-[

Just plugged my 4Gig internal Memory 920 to my computer to update to the latest maps and got the dreaded "Your device is no longer supported" message.

    WHY??
OK, some of the smaller units with 2 Gig yea you can understand, but 4Gig?
But saying that the latest Europe map is slightly over 4Gig, so wonder if that is the reason??

I run Western Europe on mine so no problems.

    <Big Sigh>

So they're sneaking in more EoL devices even with 4Gb memory; that's new!

TT are just using the ill-found excuse about maps being too big for older devices notwithstanding that there are many EoL devices with an SD card slot (for what else apart from memory expansion FFS) AND TT are rolling out more and more & smaller zoned maps anyway!
I've been bitching about this on their forum for ages but won'y get a satisfactory answer for sure
