Default Blue & Me devices for Fiat and Alfa Romeo

    Hello,
I recently purchased a 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta with integrated TomTom Blue and Me satnav. Unfortunately the satnav has stopped working and I would like to replace it. After reading multiple threads on here I have a few questions...
    1) Will a standard Go 1000 device work with the Alfa's integration?
    2) Will any other Fiat or Alfa unit of the same era work or are they e.g. matched to the particular vehicle?
    3) If another Fiat/Alfa unit will work with the Alfa's integration, will it still work if I install patched software to allow me to update the maps?

You have a Fiat/Alfa Romeo integrated Blue&Me system, and they are quite strange and peculiar systems.
You don't tell me if your navcore is 11.805 (if it can be patched) or if you have a navcore 11.815 (it can't be patched)
In addition, this system uses a special menu for the car; From that menu you have access to the radio, browser, air conditioning, etc.
Actually, you have a nav3, which is updated with tomtom home, but it uses nav3 maps (11.805) or nav4-no3d-no-fts maps (11.815).

The best thing would be that you buy a simple model (go 1000/go 1005) and use it placed on the dashboard.

Another option, if you want to integrate it into the car, you can buy a radio with Android system, which comes equipped with Android utilities (talking on the phone, navigator, music, radio, etc...)
