Broken x10. Latest model that can be patched?
My TT Go710 is coming to an end due to a missing rubber grommet. I cannot complain as I have had sterling use from it. As I am an avid fan of this site me question is. What is the latest/best model of TomTom that the maps can "patched"?

At the base of the Go710 where it connects to the window mount there is a rubber grommet thing. Mine has come out and is lost. With it being missing there is no longer a good power connection and the device loses charge (AFAIK this is a known problem). If anyone knows where to get a new rubber grommet I would be grateful but TT doesn't appear to have any

Sh1t, then plan b) contact one of the repair centers & see if they have one (or a repairer from ebay) or maybe hope someone around here may have one (Maverick?)

I can't see any rubber grommet , or any rubber thing at the base of my 710
The row of pins you see are your contacts and the always rest on the mount .
I dont think there belongs any rubber in that area .
Perhaps try some contact-spray or WD40 .

Isn't there a kind of rubber "strip" around that area that sort of cushions the connection if I remember right?

If you go to the official tomtom forum and search on rubber grommet there is plenty of info re same and the lack of it hindering a good connection causing the battery not to charge. AFAIK it affects all GoXXX10 models
