Help Wrong map or something else?

    Hi All,

Can someone please tell me which map shall I use for my TT?
I just updated the thing and my map stopped working...

The version showing on my TT is: 9.510.
    It's a TT GO730

    I tried this map:

and 5965 as well but getting a message: "You cannot use this map on this device: Western_Europe-100198"

    What I do is:
    1. download a map and unzip it
    2. copy over to the sd card + FastActivate
    3. connect to the pc (with TTHome off) and run the FastActivate

    4. type in the drive letter the app is showing
    5. going through the rest of the steps (until step 4)
    6. disconnect and reboot
    7. select the map > error

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong?

Suspect you have original navcore .
That is good , but it must be patched first before you can use downloaded maps .

    Thanks for reply basflt.
Doesn't the FastActivate do the patching in step 3 "Patch Navcore"?
If this is not what you mean, what do I need to do to patch it?

    Yes , thats correct

    Normal procedure is
    1 patch navcore
    2 install and activate map
    3 clear flash
    4 reset

prior to disconnecting ; check to see if the DCT is present in map folder , if not , its not activated .

There was no DCT in the new map folder and it looks like the FastAct was doing the map on the TT not SD... Deleted the old map from TT and copied new from SD to TT and after patching the DCT showed up and map got activated and looks like it's working too.
Any Idea how to make the FastAct detect the map on SD? (had to skip the POI due to space issue on TT). When I type in the drive letter it doesn't do much with that info...

just copy fastactivate.exe to the SD card or even straight into the map folder

Are you copy TTGO.BIF from internal to SD-Card root ??

FastActivate not found your SD if it not include TTGO.BIF so it ask you a internal and you select it
    Patch navcore in internal.
then select sd and patch map.

best way is copy FastActivate both internal and SD root directory.
