hi. i can confirm the maps posted on this site work fine. I used 955 and then upgraded to 960 no problem. I find using the map thread finder useful. You can scroll down to find the version that supports 'most' models and has lane guidance, iq routing etc
7056 >>>> Mainly for XXL/One-IQ/XL-IQ/Start/Go X20-30-40-50/BlueMe, includes CSPEECH+ALG+IQR <<<<
Here is direct link to to the right thread for Australia:
Just read through this thread carefully - twice, three times if you have to till you understand the process.
Important steps are:
* Start with a duplicate of your original SDCARD.
* On the duplicate card remove the .meta file from the AUSTRALIA folder.
* Overwrite files in Australia with files downloaded above (960)
* Delete files in /Australia folder starting with arp_xxx.dat
* If you want you can delete old Safety cam files and add latest ones.
* Follow other steps outlined in this thread (running fast activate for maps and safety cams)
note: if you've already installed simbas patched navcore on your mazda - you don't have to do this again. Just the once.
Good luck!
I'm still struggling with RDS/TMC traffic. I emailed MAZDA. They replied with 'RDS/TMC' is not supported in Australia. BUT, we know that the car has an RDS/TMC receiver. We know that the TomTom software supports RDS/TMC traffic data. We also know that RDS/TMC traffic data in Australia is provided by SUNA and neither TomTom OR Mazda are listed on the SUNA website as a compatible device.
So, it seems clear that is has been disabled in Australia due to either TomTom, or Mazda, or both not paying SUNA the required licensing fee to use their service.
The question remains - HOW has it been disabled... on the hardware of the Australian models, or in the TomTom Navcore. Like I've said before, if I manually tune to an invalid RDS/TMC station - I get an error message. If I tune to a valid station, I don't. So it seems most likely to be disabled in the Navcore - which means MAYBE it can be enabled!?!
Would need someone with a deep understanding of the TomTom navcore. Don't like my chances considering not that many NB1 users to start with... let alone NB1 specifically in Australia that are affected by this limitation! But, if anyone out there has any ideas - would be most grateful.
Thanks poshea; followed your instructions precisely and bang! it worked. Thanks mate. Is there anyway to add Redlight Cameras and School Zones with the map???
Yes. Delete any old Safety_Cam files in your /Australia folder.
Download the latest safety cams from this thread:
Inside you will find files for many countries. You will only need two related to Australia.
Safety_Cam_AU_TomTom.ov2
Safety_Cam_AU_TomTomOv2.ver
Move these two files into your /Australia folder on your SD CARD. Then rerun fast activate to generate a .dct file for the safety cams. Now there should be 3 Safety_Cam files in your Australia folder
.ov2
.ver
.dct
Put the SD card back into car - it will take a sec to restart - then you should have latest maps AND latest cams :)
If you have these files, do you know how can you turn off the voice warnings? I am happy to see them on the screen but don't like all the interruptions.
I just a got a 2013 Mazda with NB1 nav. Is there a step by step map update howto somewhere? Ive dug through this thread and i keep seeing references to patches ect but no real directions.
Dig harder - cause there is
