Hi all I have a tomtom 710 that sometimes powers up and sometimes wount, even plugged into the mains or laptop is shows it charging and wont power up then other times it will, anyone had this before or know how to solve it thanks

Common fault, just because you have a green led lit doesn't mean its charging, guy on the bay does the repairs and has very f/b.

I have the same with mine GO910 too after a Navcore update, but I'm able to live with it.
When I connect it at home or in the car I do Always a hard reset before I connect it with the dock, no problem at all.

the hard reset is good to reset the power charge chip which will allow the power to get to the system and work, if the battery icon says charging then it is, if it doesn't then it is not, easy way to find out is just take it off its mount and see how long it lasts before it turns off because of lack of power.
