1-Loader don't touch (and actually forget this name-you don't need it)
    2-Renew software through TomTom home
3-You can use the version 9026, 9051, 9053. This is the most reliable for your model
    4-What is map? See here

2B - if navcore from Home is used , it must be patched to accept downloaded maps
it may be better to get an already patched version ( step#3 ) , then download latest map

what do you meen about the loader?

So i need to download navcore 9026 or 9051 or 9053, and must i patch these maps too?
    No update trough tomtom home?

first i need to know wich bootloader and navcore version i need tot download right?
Then whipe the tomtom and put the bootloader and navcore map on it?
After that must i activate (or something like that) the navcore?
and then i can put the europe map and pois on it and these i need also to activate with tomtom alberts easy activator?

Is this all or have i forgot something? or did i say something wrong

he meant ; leave the bootloader as is , you dont need to change it

    further more , yes
find a navcore that is meant for your device , add a map to it , activate the map , done

an alternate method is get latest navcore from Home ,so you get a correct version , but it will need to be patched before you can use a map with it

    @ Jeffery187,
Hey buddy, before you do anything connect it to your computer and copy everything from your tomtom to a folder on your desktop called 'TTbackup', then should something go wrong you can 'restore' it as it was.

Find 'clear_flash.exe' either from here or tomtoms website (free download), run it with tomtom connected to computer, 3 times, disconnecting and restarting tomtom after each time.

Then simply delete everything from the tomtom internal 1gb memory. DO NOT format it, just open the tt drive and select everything 'Ctrl + A' then hit 'DEL'.
Then Run tomtom home whilst it's connected to computer and let it install software, which could take two or three times probably starting from version 7,166, safely disconnecting after every install and boot the tomtom disconnected from computer until it says 'no maps found'.
Then keep exiting and restarting tomtom home until you end up with the latest 'original' navcore for the One 3rd Ed which is 8,010.
Then find a map with a meta code available on this website + fast activate to patch them, instructions of which if you search the forums here, you will find. The BOOTloader is like part of the tomtoms bios, you don't need to change it as your not going to be using more than 1gb, anyway if it needs updating tomtom home will give you the correct one and install it as part of the navcore.
You need a map small enough to fit on your device e.g.

    Europe_1GB_West_926.5479
    United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_925_5439

All this info is on here if you search, but I was a newbie once, and I like to help!
If you want to put a larger than 1 gb map on and your soldering skills and knowledge are good
there is a way you can add more internal storage to some models of the one 3rd edition. But its not for the faint hearted!

Thanks for the info Lurchyboy, im downloading now the western europe map 1gb from here but i dont have a download account so it take a lot of time to download the maps, either i want also the POIs on the tomtom that can also or not? Must i activate something with tomtom albert easy activator?

I did it Always like this, i make first an backup, then put the navcore maps (i dont know if that must be cracked or not) on it, then the maps with meta code, the pois and then i cracked it with tomtom albert easy activator. Is that wrong? You have told an other way to do it and now i dont know wich one is better.

I have an tomtom XXL (2gb internal memory only) and i had install a new bootloader, navcore but now i must update my maps v9.10, i had installd the new bootloader beceause of the IQ routes.
Can you tell me wich bootloader, navcore map is ideal for my tomtom please? So i can do the 2 systems at once

Sorry I've never had a TT XXL so I don't know which Navcore is best for it, search around the forums I'm sure there is lots of info for the XXL.
Also I've never used Alberts easy activator, I always use Fastactivate which is so easy, you can also find that here.
If you have a Torrent client like UTor***t then look in the 930 maps section there are some magnet links for the maps which are faster to download, you'll need to wait for the Meta codes to come out though.
P.S. Be careful with changing the Bootloaders, they can cause issues some people would say, although I've never managed to brick a TT yet and can downgrade to an older version if I have to.

    Good luck Buddy.
