VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
Firstly I'd like to THANK all those who trouble to upload the new maps .. I much appreciate the efforts gone to. I also appreciate that META's are not easy to obtain and that when obtained they appear in the correct threads. I'm also pretty patient and willing to wait as I'm getting stuff for free.
However, there is a little bit of illogical posting I'd like to bring to your attention
In the map thread Western_Europe_905_4754 ( ) the first poster "Carlmai" has kindly included (at the bottom of his post) a link that says "meta text with all meta code"
I was slightly suprised to see this so early, and that the map wasn't in the "maps with metas" section .. but went ahead with the download ... (you can guess whats coming now) of the map and that meta.txt ... of course the meta is NOT in there .. it is a meta.txt of all the old maps etc etc.
Now I know I need the map for whenever the meta does exist, so I've not actually wasted any time /effort in the long run, and, again, I'd like to thank "Carlmai" for his work on our behalf .... but I just think the inclusion of the meta txt - described as "all meta code" is misleading and "illogical"

Re: VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
I tend to kinda of agree with you Entwood, BUT this time round we seem to be getting most of the maps well before the actual maps are available to Joe Public (who are the ones who can actually get/share the metas with us) but, hey, as long as we get them, who gives a sh1t which order they arrive?

Re: VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
I do understand Entwoods point and also appreciate that some people are just too impatient and think they've found the Holy Grail of metas hidden away somewhere.
It's hardly a show-stopper if people are downloading an empty .txt file.

Re: VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
With regards to the last comment, the meta.rar contains all the blowfish codes, the meta905.rar contains only the 905 ones, excluding the asian ones. No real advantage in downloading the meta905.rar anyway. 378 members haven't figured that out yet? It was exactly the same for v900, with the blowfish codes highlighted on post #1.

Re: VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
My suggestion to avoid all the confusion/duplication is to remove the map version altogether from the title on a couple of threads and keep them permanently at the top. Someone might need an older map if the newest is not yet available.
Sticky: Blowfish/Meta codes (meta.txt) including all AVAILABLE maps ONLY from the Maverick
Sticky: Tomtom Maps Thread Finder from ttmax
Beside these we can have the seasonal threads
Sticky: All TomTom v905 maps - Only collections
Sticky: Postcode - v905 Maps
Sticky: Compatible Chart v905 Maps by ingazu
Sticky: Blowfish/Meta codes for v905 maps ONLY. Please add them HERE (NO REQUESTS!)
etc.
Best Regards,

Re: VERY Minor whinge if I may :(
I know what you are trying to say here but to many even with that change of title it still wont make sense. I think in setad of AVAILABLE it should read USEABLE. The problem is that ALL maps end up being AVAILABLE for Download here yet these days only about 1/3 end up having Meta codes by the time the next version maps come out. So much time is wasted uploading maps that will ultimately remain useless without a Meta Code. Personally I dont understand the need to upload the maps before the meta code is available. That to me is the illogical part.

Irrelevant now as the 905 metas are just starting to trickle though.
