Hello
idly without sharing a recent backup the SpoofCID does not work. When someone will share backups of recent maps then it will become a precious object. With this I do not want to take anything away from the wonderful work done by Modimo.
Any news?
I wish update my maps on my built-in TT Carminat. This is my current GPS version.
Is there any solution?

Both Carminat-Systems - the "Normal" and the "Live" - can be used with newer maps. The "Normal" with a patched Carminat-NC and any Carminat-maps from here with known code, the "Live" with a special SD-Card with the special-CID, which is needed from the "Live"-Carminat. These special SD-cards can be ordered here:
You must send the seller the needed Carminat-Live-CID. Should be this: CID: 094150414620534402134dac27011300
(These manipulable memory cards like samsung EVO - usable e.g. on VW-navigation systems - are not suitable on a Carminat-Live!)
With this special SD-Card you can use DL-offers for Carminat-Live like this: Carminat Tomtom Live 10.05 Europe 2018 (working SD with 1005 release of Europe)
Download-Link per PN, if needed. Or you have a look here from time to time::
Hi All,
i have carminat 8842 here in south africa that I would like to update/crack the map, do you have any tutorial or step by step to do it? and what map can i use for southern africa?
thanks
Hello,
Two solutions,
Update via TTHome, navcore only
Update by following this procedure (recommend)
Download the latest navcore 8.843 here:
Unzip the.cab, open the install/DS_1 folder, you will find a file "IA000070000006swlimage0.zip" unzip it in a folder you name x or y, copy the files "PNDNavigator" and "~tsystem" that you rename "ttsystem" then paste them at the root of your SD card by overwriting the existing files.
Download the map of Africa_1035_9675 (387.9 MB, including Southern Africa) from the links you will find here:
Or by looking here:
Some tools allow you to do this as well.
Replace (delete) your old map with the new one.
Add the radars in the map folder, links here:
Enable navcore, map and radars with your favorite tool ()
Finish with an update via TTHome that you will do regularly to benefit from the latest files contained in the "ephem" folder via "QuickGPSfix".
Also for new voices, POIs, etc...
If everything went well, you should have a GPS operational.
PS Don't forget to make a backup of your SD card before making any corrections.
Thanks a lot jpgblue,
will follow it and let you know, quick one..below are some maps..is it the number 9675 and so on for different device? also i've notice that africa 1035.9675 and southern africa 1035.9675 having same number, can i use the southern africa one instead?
Africa_1035.9675
Africa_1035.9678
Africa_1035.9681
Southern_Africa_1035.9675
Southern_Africa_1035.9678
Southern_Africa_1035.9681
the map 1035_9675 is adapted to the navcore that equips the Carminat, other maps will work, but depending on which one you choose, you will lose some possibilities of the 9675, for example the series 9679, 80, 81.
Consult the Orni "compatible-chart-v1035-maps": , you will have a better idea of the possibilities.
Anyway, I advise you to stay on the map most adapted to the navcore of Carminat and which is made for the Carminat, do not deprive yourself of it.
PS the map 9678 will not work, only with navcore from 9.0xx, with the 9681 you lose the IQroutes & ALG, Cspeech & ASR + HNR are not supported by the Carminat navcore and subject to an available meta code.
