    Info Map Files

Hey there, i'm new in this site, and i have a renault megane mk3 that uses tom tom, updating it i managed to erase all maps and now it doesn.t even prompt any interface on the car.

I'm not the dumbest so i already downloaded the right navcore but when i went to download the maps i failed due to the method used by all the users (splitting the file).

My question here is, why dont you put all files via torrent? There's no size limit, is pretty quick in terms of download speed and no one has to split any files.

    Help Iberia Maps

Can someone give me the link to the latest iberia/west europe files?? I already searched the forum and the ones i find are all splitted and i cant download them due to a site limitation.

If anyone has a torrent file or a direct link to 1 file i would really appreciate it.

Sadly, torrents are so last century and rely totally on those who have already got what they want (for free), continuing to seed which many just don't bother to do!

I agree that people are getting over it yes, but i dont think that splitting files into 26 differente files and posting it on servers that only let you download 3 files per day is the solution...

There are alternative links with some larger segments plus there are tools like JDownloader where you can download numeoros files all at the same time and also even "premium link generators" too or even, for a few Euros, buy a short-term premium account with one of the sharing sites (which is still way cheaper than buying the map(s) yourself)

It costs 5 euros for a short term premier account, using which you can get all the parts in less than an hour. Instead of moaning at the folks who upload the files, for you to get at vastly reduced prices, try having a little consideration and gratitude for the work they have done, instead you come across as an ungrateful idiot who simply wants everyone to do things in a manner that suits you.

If you don't like the way this forum uploads files... find one that does it "your way" .. although methinks the search will be a long one ....

or.... buy the new maps direct from tomtom ......

Sent you links to not-splitted Iberia maps (if I understood you properly) - check your PM.

You could try links from Kilroy as his links are 500MB size so less links, but you use Filefactory for those and it is pretty cheap. A lot less that the cost of a map, and obviously covered all maps. Those from Orni are also free using Mega. More links as less size of parts. And there is nothing stopping you by donating a small amount using the $ button, as all donations are appreciated. A free lunch is never free
One day, someone might make things work perfectly before release. Sadly not in my or your lifetime. At least by finding problems and sorting them, we are still alive.

What kind of TomTom? A Carminat-System? Which NC? Do you know which map-version you need?

Read for you in the consumerist press

    80 KM/H LIMIT
    The brain teaser of update

Pay attention to the age of your system
In theory, it should be possible to update your GPS, but it can be complicated,
or even impossible, if it is a very old case.
This is the case, for example, for the first TomTom or the Coyote brand warning devices.
The latter tells us that the memory of the Mini Coyote Plus and Coyote Touch (launched in 2010 and 2012)
is insufficient for an update. But the brand specified that the speed limit
would be correct for danger alerts, so as not to mislead users.

TomTom confirmed that a free update (for most of their devices) would be available
on the website in late June.
This will enable those who leave at the beginning of July to benefit from a compliant housing for 98 to 99% of the roads.
On the other hand, for a system embedded in the car, it is less obvious.
For example, Renault does not wish to communicate on the subject and our two visits to dealerships have not been
reassuring: no salesman was able to answer us on the problem of the updates.
Other manufacturers, like Ford or Volkswagen, specify that an update will be available for download
    within the next few months.
