Re: General map discussions here (NO REQUESTS!)
OK .. I expect I'm being thick .. again ... but I have a problem .....
Downloaded Map UK & Ireland from here ..
seems to have installed OK
downloaded meta910 from here
yet when I run easytools it tells me the map code is not in the meta.txt .. I've looked inside and it seems to be there with the same numbers and letters shown on the download page .... I've renamed meta910.txt to meta.txt, I've copied and pasted from the search thread here
but it just don't want to work ..... so what have I screwed up this time ...

Re: General map discussions here (NO REQUESTS!)
I would suggest you perhaps download the meta.txt file instead as it contains all blowfish codes. I would download fast activate too. Locate both files in the root directory where your map is and run from there
I suspect, you possibly have another meta.txt file elsewhere that the program is picking up. Possibly in progs and it is out of date.
Fast activate does work perfectly anyway and I have moved over to this means of activating.
Since I moved to Win 7, I had a few issues with easytools, and though it worked flawlessly in the past, have given it up for fast activate now
By the way, if all else fails Entwood, you know my email, can always sent me an email mate. If you don't, I am sure a mod such as Yuri or BiggerDave will pass it on, since you on friends list

Re: General map discussions here (NO REQUESTS!)
MMM strange .. did as you said and used the meta.txt instead of the meta910.txt and it worked first time !!!
I'll have a look at fast activate instead of easytolls as you advise, and thanks for the info about e-mails
