These are NAV3 device maps which you wouldn't normally need if we have the meta(s) for the NAV2's, see here

Look .
Maps with those file are official for NAV3 devices or Mazda.
You can use them for NAV2 devices and you may delete the arp.... files then.
Makes the map a lot smaller.

Update: Oeps! Biggerdave won
In addition to the files/folders that can be deleted from NAV3/NB1 maps for using on NAV2-devices: all arp_*_2000_10_10_f.dat (NAV3 and NB1), all adpoints_*.dat (NB1), all country-subfolders (NB1), all postal_*.ttd (if present) and the asrgrammarinfo.xml (NB1) can be deleted.
Hi,
I have a GO 720 TomTom, I wonder which most recent Europa map could fit ? Or France map.
Thank you vey much.
bj
Bonjour,
J'ai un TomTom GO 720, je me demande quelle carte Europe (ou France ) la plus récente je pourrais charger.
Merci beaucoup,
bj
France 1045.1001 will fit no problem as it's only 572MB but you'll need to buy an SD card if you want Europe 1045.10000 as it's 3.97GB
Hello,
Why is the map of Egypt not included in the map of Africa ?
Thank you
FIIK, ask TT themselves. All we know about coverage is here
PS check out here which actually shows it IS included
Egypt is not available as NAV2 map, only as NAV3. So it can't be a part of a NAV2 Africa map. If you want Egypt, you must use the older NAV3 Egypt_1025_9381. Newer NAV3 Egypt maps hasn't code.
P.S: But a NAV3 Africa also doesn't include Egypt, may be Egypt is in a NAV4 Africa map (but NAV4 not usable for NAV2 devices).
Hello all,
I can't get any map newer than 1030 to work reliably. I've tried this on three different devices. USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1030_9520 works, with no constant rebooting, with RDS traffic antenna on all three units. I tested with all three units in the car at the same time, with the same route programmed in, and deliberately not following the route. The only difference in functionality between the three units on the 1030 map was the speed at which they recalculate the routes.
Any newer map I've tried kicks me into a reboot loop -- sometimes immediately after the TomTom logo, sometimes a few minutes after I touch the "agree" button. The latest map I've tried is USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1050_10178. I went though the same thing with 1035 and 1040 maps. I did not try 1045 or 1047 maps.
Am I misreading the compatible chart? The way I read the compatible chart, they are both Nav2 maps. Are the new maps too big somehow? USA_Canada_Mexico_1030_9520 is almost the same size as the 1050_10178 map.
The units I have are:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
BootLoaderVersion=55136
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9056
ApplicationVersion=542741.2
DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
BootLoaderVersion=55279
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9702
ApplicationVersion=1512362.1
DeviceName=TomTom GO 920
BootLoaderVersion=55120
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9541
ApplicationVersion=3145439.1
For the One-XL, I'm using a DSA navcore with page file and hard-wired sound. For the other two units, I'm using the navcore that was last updated directly via TomTom Home, then patched with TTActivator. I also used TTActivator to get the last GPS-fix.
I get the same results whether I patch and activate with FastActivate or with TTActivator. I made sure that I only had one map installed at a time.
