Most all ISP's dropped free service, basically cause of the liability (kiddie porn)
    and the increased bandthwith consumption.

It's not a joke when that inverstment of ten dollars , could actually replace a $75 to $125 per month cable bill that includes all the movie channels With movie ticket prices at between $10 to $15 per person......just a couple flicks and you're way ahead of the game.
Typical PC &. Mac apps easily run $10 to $1000.

Of course you can get some of the stuff thru the 3rd 4th and 5th channels of p2p - torrents , but at often lousy speeds and all kinds of hoops to jump thru just to get going. Then you gotta deal with sketchy download rates and and often hassles with passwords - file corruptions and all kinds of jokesters playing games with their material.

$10 dollars worth of invertments could easily save the typical cable user over $100 per month. Usenet has been the primary tool in the cut the cable campaign. The point is, with a good high speed connection and a usenet account, you really now have the full potential to completely eliminate the cable need and it's certainly nice never having to watch another commercial.

This whole GPS sharing idea really relates to such a teenie tiny segment of the overall program. Once you've considered the safety aspects of involving yourself in the act of uploading and downloading......the fact you're distanced yourself from legal issues, pretty much make that $10 appear to be chump change.

Trust me.......I'm not attempting to sell you people anything. I think enough of you tho, that out of good will, I'm directing you to a source of material that is long lived and fool proofed. There's no cheaper way.

And I hope you don't think I was pointing a finger at you.

Personally , I probably watch 1-2-3 recent released movies per week. I have a serious home theater set up with
60" LCD and a 7:1 inwall sound system. 90% of all the movies we now view are all in 1080p - Blu-ray.

The file size of these movies range from 8-10GB to a high of 20-50GB... With my current bandthwith , I can download
approximatly 20GB per hour. Thats just not gonna happen from the "other ways"

I might come across a 30 minute sitcom......XVID.......700MB.....got it in downloaded in 1-2 minutes.

With that type of performance, a paid cable TV Account is absolutly un-needed

Long winded as i've seen to create in this thread.......it's main point goes way way beyond GPS. It's all
about saving serious cash and still enabling us to enjoy TV broadcasted shows all across the world.

Then add in all the other stuff........10-20 gig PC and Xbox games. All the PC and iOS apps.

The savings just keep on adding up.
