I'm old enough to remember "norfolkproperty" thingy before ip...mart too. I first met Russ (another old timer) there.

What would be a real coup is if we can convince J-J, ninonuk, carlmai, eddy1609 etc to post the 885 maps & metas here first when they start arriving in Feb.
Please do not just post "thanks" but use the "thanks" button bottom/right or the reputation star "*" bottom/left

To attract new members requires a lot more than just time.
There are forums out there that have been around for years but have not got many active members and are dying. Why?
Well the average potential "newbee" forum member will start by looking for a solution to their problem possibly as a "guest" on every forum site they can find or know about. If they can't find the information then they move on.
Each site will require them to delve into the relevant posts or necessitate them searching and then reading the "how to fix it" articles.
If they are members and ask a question or require information or help, a long wait or non response will lead to a dis-satisfied member who will leave.

To stand out from the croud the first thing we need is to be more visible in the search engines. (The downside is "TT" visiblity)
Then we must give reliable information and provide it quickly, accurately and politely as possible.
Even just to acknowlege the question gives a level of comfort to someone in trouble.
Make the "search" facility as easy to use as possible and have clear links to solutions. (biggerdave is a master at this)
Many potential members will move between forums until they land on one that makes them feel welcome and gives them quallity support.

Don't let this become just another "uploading" forum. There are plenty of those already.
The likes of biggerdave and yuryggg will be key players in making this a very sucsessfull TT support forum.

Above all we must remain supportive and polite in all replies.

Just my personal views on the way forward.

In the words of that famous wise man, Kevin Costner; "Build it and they will come"
Dave and Yuri: You did a great job on the other site and helped many and now, within a few days, you've developed and instigated a new site. No doubt many of us will check back periodically at the other place and so if we get the chance, its just a case of making an innocent comment to members there asking questions.
    Seriously guys.... amazing job done.
