    try WireShark , works fine
    but i doubt if you find keys in it , because ;
    keys are sent to the device seperately ( https )

    TT uses 3 different ports , ssh , https and normal http

    No need doing that - all keys you "can intercept" you can find "freely" in any *navcore.ttpkg.
    The trick is - you can find ONLY Public Keys. And as for Private ones - you'll newer find them - cause TT NEVER send them to device - only files with hashsums of packages, certified with Private keys - that's why we can't send any unofficial info (*meta.dct's, navcores) to nav3 devices.

    already said that

    private keys go true https = private
    or maybe ssh = private too

    what we need is a tool or driver that bypasses the internet and give direct access to the device ( its contents )

    There is no way you can access the device without the proper private keys... no tool will be able to do this. Keys are pretty secure

    The only way is either via a back door (if exist) but difficult to find without help from an insider at Tomtom, or to to find a vulnerability and take control of the system, in other words "jailbreaking" it.

    There is no enough interest in Tomtom PNAs nowadays for people to dedicate to find these vulnerabilities

    definitely

    ...yea.. awaiting for proper 'service tool', which could let us to 'see & operate' content of internal memory. Maybe we could think about "jailbreaking" afterwards...
    ...about "back door (if exist)" - sort of J-tag can help (or just - proper console - see opentom.org for this) - if we had DUMP of FLASH-memory - possibly we could try to "jailbreake" it via J-tag... Or maybe - soft-"jailbreake" would be possible afterwards...

    actually You are wrong - all 'software' possibilities just had been analysed, no 'holes' in security found... alas...

    I tend to agree in principle. Of course it "can" be cracked, just like meta codes were able to be obtained by J-J but sadly TT are getting cleverer.
    After all, it's 2 years since these NAV3 devices came out and still no crack. Oh, TTuser, where are you when we need you most?

    everything can be cracked
    it is true that there is not much interest of hackers

    Windows is more complicated to crack then Tomtom , but usually its done in weeks

    as for NAV3 ;
    its not a Tomtom ( TTuser ) thing anymore
    it are internet devices
    this time we need an internet hacker to do it , not a Tomtom expert
