I've used v.1.18.1 on my a51 since it was released by dfox and it always worked flawlessly.
Now, after installing latest samsung upgrade with android 11, the app crashes few seconds after I set a route.
Without route set it works normally and even allows the map upgrade.

THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPUTER-VOICE AND CRACHES OF TOMTOM GO 1.18.1 APP,
You can try to uninstall the app.
Then you must install first the original app go 1.18.1 (paid one!)
Start this app and download a map...try if the voice works (i think not)
Now update this app to tomtom go v3.3.14 (the new one in playstore)
Open it once and close it !
Now go to settings/apps and remove only! (nothing more)
Now you have to install the patched version 1.18.1...
Open it, i think now the app is hanging and will not start at this moment...???
Close app again...
Go to settings/apps again and remove only cache and information (not the app!)
Then start the app again and follow all what comes...like maps etc...etc...
Now i should work again with a computer voice (i'll hope)
Let me (us) know if it works again for you...

After updating to android 12 on my samsung s21 + 5g, everything works normally again, computer voice activated and arrival time activated, the app does not close.

Is anyone else getting an update notification for TTG? A few weeks ago I inadvertently updated my Tab A to the latest Samsung security patch and ended up losing Samantha due to the known crash issue. I rolled back to a previous ROM with June's security patch and got Samantha back so I thought all was good. Early last week I started TTG and was surprised to see an update notification. The odd part is, when I click update, it takes me to the Play Store where I can only uninstall or open the current version (like an update loop). If I uninstall and then install from the Play Store, of course it is the latest version of the app and I only have the trial period. Reinstalling this version does away with that, but then I'm prompted again to update. And even more odd, I only see the update notice on the Tab A, not on my A52 or my Tab E.
UPDATE: I did a wipe/reset of the Tab A and used Smart Switch to reinstall TTG, but still kept getting the update notification. I did another wipe/reset but installed a backup previously made with Smart Switch, and now no more update notification. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens next...Last edited by explor202; 13th March 2022 at 06:32 PM.

I got a TTG update notification, so I thought I'd better load DFOX 1.18.1 onto my spare phone and check if it breaks it. When I select TTG 'update' it takes you to the google play TTG page with the options 'Uninstall' or 'Open'. When I select 'Open' it just drops me back to the TTG 'Upgrade' page on my device, trying again just repeats the loop. It look like I'm stuck on 1.18.1 until someone comes up with a way to allow the TTG update to occur. In the meantime, the ap seems to be none the worse for my upgrade attempt and is still working - although I still get the 'upgrade' nags on start-up.
UPDATE: I've read several bad reviews on updating to the 'improved' NDS version of GO. Apparently the maps are not as detailed and custom POI's aren't transferred across. I might be as well to stick with 1.18.1 for the moment.Last edited by Gezza; 30th May 2022 at 04:52 PM. Reason: adding update
