Hi Guys,
I have android head running 4.4.2 kitkat. I have been using 1.18.1 without a problem untill I accidently deleted the app. Now when I tried to re- install, map does not download any more on this device. I tried the same app in my tablet which runs 5.0.3 lollipop, no problem downloading the map. My head does not have android update to go to lollipop.
Can someone help me with this.

Companies are making changes and leaving outdated versions without prior notice, as a result sometimes little or nothing can be done.
In fact from 1.18 there are changes in maps, this was announced during the installation of the apk and this is probably what prevents you from updating maps with your S.O. current (This is discussed in post 1). I have touched the tablet of a colleague with Jelly Bean and 1.17 and when trying to update maps they do not download and it comes out, so it stays that way (although I'll keep looking)
From what you say, if you want, you can patiently find a way to go from kitkat to Lolipop.
In the link to mega I have put the original apk in case you need it. You must go little by little and inform yourself well before doing anything, you must first verify that your device will support that change. There are websites specialized in these topics.
Another option would be to try NDS, although you may also have this problem, it works very well, there are even colleagues who prefer it because the maps are in parts and it takes up less memory.

Thanks for the reply. After lot of research I was able to download the map offline. But am stuck at the final step. The map I am trying to install was from Samsung tab and has a DCT file for that unit. I have successfully downgraded the tablet to kitkat and verified that offline map installation works as long as I used same tablet. But when transferring the map to head unit(carpad 3) the map got locked due to DCT file.
Is there any way I can sign the DCT file for my head unit?

With the TTGO app I had the same problem when reinstalling after a phone reset. I managed to get it working by installing only the cracked app and rebooting the phone, then creating a google account on the phone which allowed me to download the map I required and I then deleted the google account. This leaves me with the app installed with a working map but no connection to the TomTom server for traffic etc but I am not worried about that. I use Radarbot for the speed camera's when required.
I prefer the GO app over the NDS version as the maps interface is, for me, more pleasing to the eye. Not that I have tried, but I would assume that if you left your google account active it would allow you to get traffic etc. as long as you have enough data.

Data consumption is very low, almost nothing
I think the benefit is more than the data consumption

Which android version are you using in phone? If it is lollipop or above its not a problem. Only kitkat and lower version are having issues.

Regarding data use, some people have a pay-as-you-go sim in their phones where data use would be a problem.

9 iMars 10.1Inch 2Din for Android 9.. Car Stereo Radio MP5 Player 1+16G IPS 2.5D Touch Screen GPS WIFI... isntalled app.ok Donwloaded canada map 100% all ok BUT when app star opening maps to star running applicacion just CRUSH ...please help me cant run tomtom go ...was the same problem whit Nds before the only version only to work is the TomTom Navigation NDS 1.9.6.1 Full APK mod from this forum...thank ..any ideas to solve this issue....thanks amigos

Let's see not to confuse ... patched or crk ... it means that it does not have a 30-day trial period, that is, it does not expire.
Mod means that some or some of its functions have been modified.
Make sure that your device does not have the chip that is reported in post 1, although this may not be the only incompatibility.
2DIN is a world, in which there are many variables, the most typical comments for years are it does not work or it is heard very low.
In fact, you should contact the manufacturer or distributor to have them tell you, in case they can guide you since the apk works.
There is another question that is simple and you can try to make sure, it is to put the original from the Play Store on trial for 30 days, if the original does not work, turn off and let's go.
Do not be overwhelmed, the essential thing is the maps, the applications from one to another, even if they change, they keep the basic functions, try the nds crk + mod from david0vich or go back to the one you had that you said worked for you.

TomTom release "TomTom GO Navigation" 3.1.0 that now is compatible with Android Auto.
Please take care that TomTom GO Navigation si not TomTom navigation (is another application).
Is there a patch for TomTom GO Navigation 3.1.0?
