@ScorpioPirate Well, last week the new TomTom app for iOs was launched and that one (for iOs) is very simular to this NDS app (for Android). That tells me that TomTom is definitely going in that direction app- & designwise.

But I most say it doesn't bother me at all (the new blue panel). It takes more space on the screen than the old panel, but not more than 15 to 20%. Keep in mind you have to focus on the road ahead of you, so what you need from your navigation app is to tell you where to go in just 1 quick glimpse.
If you don't like it, there are many other apps. Some of us are whinning about it from the beginning (to unstable, to unreliable, keeps crashing, routes are no good etc). Then why still use it? Jeez, you get an app with 1st class map, with 1st class traffic info and with 1st class speed camera warnings for FREE!

I personally feel that it is fair to compare the 2 apps and point out the differences between them, for instance, with the nds app try and configure verbal warnings for speed camera's, you can't, while doing so with the TTGo app is easy. My 2018 Citroen Space Tourer fitted with the connectnav which is TomTom based suffers from the same problem as the nds app, no verbal warnings for speed camera's. I no longer use the Citroen built in TomTom app as it is too unreliable with it's routing and generally rely on the TTGo app and my thanks go out to Dfox for sharing it with us.

To clarify: In my previous post the first part was addressed at scorpiopirate and to add to that: Tomtom says "later this year" they will release the new Android version.
From the second part on it was in general and to people who repeatatly complain about every version.

They both should use let's say the same "base" map shouldn't they? NDS map seems like couple of years old version directing me really badly and I know where I'm going too Trying shortest route on latest NDS and GOM they take different routes occasionally and GOM seems to be more accurate.
