Someone else have problems with gps signal not recognized by this version?!
Sygic, Sygic Truck, Maps and several other Apps get gps Signal but tomtom 1.8 complete
ignore gps! Playstore Version 1.7 original get gps signal/fix! My phone Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 (Android 5.0.1).
Rechecked with V. 1.7 patched works fine too with gps signal/fix!
Strange that V. 1.8 patched get no gps signal/fix. Wondering what changed from 1.7 to 1.8?!

And I tried this tools to add a tts voice, French Virginie:
To add virginie:
- Extract the archive in a directory
- Copy the file "/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/Content.db" in the directory
- Execute virginie.bat
- Replace the file on the device
- Put the folder 666 in the folder "/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/data/voices/"

Hello everybody,
I tried to install 1.8 (1172) on my LG with android 5.0 but the app keeps on telling me it is not getting a connection with tomtom.
Can anybody tell me if there is a solution. It seems android 5.0 is a dealbreaker though....

I think I have solved my problem. I first install the download version from google play. Then uninstall it, reboot the mobile phone and resinstaller version patch. And now it works.
But I do not know if the version check and good until 2050. Yours

But with the one from google play I get the same message... anyway I managed to install an old one (no Go) but it works.
For now I am ok with it.

Hi,
I am using v1.4 and noticed this thread.
Can you be more clear on how to get this fully working and fully patched please.
As from now, i uninstalled my v1.4, then installed official from google play store.
I did start tomtomgo but did not download any map.
I then proceeded to uninstall offical tomtomgo.
Now that gone, i downloaded your latest v1.8 which contains both the tomtomgo apk and the android folder.
I placed these on internal of my S5 like i do with v1.4.
I then downloaded UK map and get a signal.
BUT it shows as freemium til 2049 and tells me to upgrade subscription and FREE MILES 50.
Where am i going wrong here, as i can not find a v1.7 to follow from the start of your tutorial?

When you get the message you are covered till 2049 everything is allright.
You don't have to do anything more.
