Better make a backup first before modify anything. There are tools like TTCMD which allow you to do that, and so you are protected for anything could happen.
Make a fingerprint also and save it in PC.
Then you are ready for any update.
There is the patch for Sync using Toolbox Unleashed, but after few updates can block.
Another way is installing a patch Supermod which include TTCMD (Total Commander) which is visual and sed what you are doing.
I modified this Supermod at v2.3 only for Evolution to be more friendly.
In next few days I will have also a Standard and update/check this version also.

    New Super Mod 2.3

@nfpina today I finished to check and update the version of SuperMod 2.3 for Standard.
So for update the maps you have to make the Backup first of original version as it is, untouched if possible. To do that you can do with this TTCMD which run directly from USB. Unzip directly on USB (ONLY formated FAT32 8GB - 32GB) from here:

Make on USB also a folders Backup.
with the unit in running pulg USN in and TTCMD will appear. Pointing a folder, keeping pressed and drag from a window to another will help you to copy what you want. MD is the USB. Save in Backup all Storage Card folders apart 3.
Save all of these in computer.
Make a original fingerprint and save it also in computer.
Now you are ready for next step the update.
You can use this SuperMod which is friendly (you have pictures up) and download it from here:

Unzip both archives directly on same USB. Make also a folder on USB as New Maps where you can add new maps downloaded from here from forum.
Plug in the unit and install the application. This one will unblock the unit only for versions between 4.0.3 and 4.1.0. If you have other versions please upgrade first.
For update nagvigation files you have to Stop GPS first from application and then you can start update files.
The original license do not touch. Keep also Basemap.fbl.
At end make a restart of MediaNav.

    Good luck

Hi, I also have MediaNav updated to 4.1.0 and I would like to add the newest map possible and I watched the video you suggested. So, I think I understood. Could you please refer me where can I download this software MediaNav Toolbox Unleashed 1.4.3 and the link for the last maps possible for my MediaNav 4.1.0.

    Thanks in advance,

@ku5htrim like said in post above it's better make first a backup of our unit before you change anything! With the same tool you can copy the new maps and lincense!
This this forum you can find the maps! You can use tom tom or here maps, when you download the new maps renome the files like you have in or backup. content/map; content/poi, etc...
    Don't change basemap!
