    Because it relies entirely on people actually seeding the file after they have got their copy and the VAST MAJORITY of downloaders are just Leechers who take their copy then just selfishly walk away.

    @azzab, that's entirely your choice if you share you seedbox with others but we all know that GENERALLY torrents are out of favour because the vast majority of users DO just take & never bother to seed afterwards (unlike yourself)

    Torrent vs Host storage
    The FTP protocol is certainly not dead, as far as the speed is mainly determined by the ISP, it is more than 100% sure that Torrents can work well but most use the hit and run technique.

    Downloading directly from the servers is not a piece of cake for everyone, fortunately there is still plenty of offer to provide this and to lend a helping hand
