Excuse my inattention, but in Australia we have Navman brand too. elsewhere it is sold as??
Be it known that one awful state has downward facing carmeras snapping illegal mobile phone usage here. With traffic jams and costly parking(which gps's have no guidance), the needs for a gps is less.

Just recently the 580 LMT model is on sale for aud $99 or about $70 usd.
I might have recommended it, only they have earned a poor reputation for missing speed cams and cameras and a non-transferable registration system. I am guessing more people are using their iTards and scroogle maps. They seem to suffer from loose usb sockets breaking off - mechanical weakness - and not being cracked. I have a collection of S80's with duff batteries - clearly a design compromise.

Recently I arm wrested my old TomTom 3rd Edition to 2019 maps to cover Sydney toll road toll changes. On April 6 the 8.010 needs an upgrade - and I dont see a patch and metacodes for dino unsupported models is very slow nowadays. The copy operation was very slow -usb 1.0? and I swear some memory was bad. However got there in the end by renaming errored files.

My point is extortionate and unreasonable map price upgrades prices on less functional hardware is astounding. These guys would rather have nothing than something or encourage scroogle maps - a happy or delighted customer is somehow irrelevant. Its always nice to see inattentive venDAH's seeing their market share shrink, 2019 will see more miss sales targets - unless they reverse known truths.

So whatever brand - address negative feedback - or suffer.
