Yeah, bloody ridiculous but when I was growing up we weren't allowed to call someone "black" as that was deemed offensive (huh, how so?) but "coloured" but now it's the opposite! WTF?
At my first employer, 2 of Surinamese descent worked, very nice to work with.
Never a problem with skin color, jokes were made over and over again.
One was so big that when he turned up his nose I hung on it, I make him laugh you could push him like that.
At my Ria, who worked at the Sophia Children's Hospital, in later years at the same location as me, there was a black nurse who really liked being called Zwarte Piet by the children in Sinterklaas time.
Now it's not done and we have rainbow Pieten, a children's party that is hundreds of years old.
Everything must now also be gender neutral, the passport no longer has to state whether you were born as a man or woman, probably noted as something?
I agree the world has gone TOTALLY BLOODY MAD! "Gender neutral"? what a load of balls!:er: (or not as the case may be after surgery):ag:
In public transport, for example by train, there is no longer any talk of, ladies and gentlemen, the 11 a.m. train which would depart from platform 12 will now depart from platform 15 at 1 p.m.,
but will be replaced by , dear passenger the train from 1 - 1 o'clock from platform 1 - 2 will now depart at 1 - 3 o'clock from platform 1 - 5.
The numbers are no longer pronounced as a number but just like in aviation communication as a separate number, you can understand the confusion if something departs from 1 - 2,
does it now depart from 1 or 2
So Gay Pride was just a happy bunch of lions then? ...and queer was just odd and poof was the sound of a wet fart:ag:
