    WinImage looks good, using Administrative mode to backup your Gamin before mod.

    @qiqiangzhu
    I'm a bit late to this party however this might be interesting to others here too.

    A simple copy/paste of the visible file system (with hidden files and folders etc having been enabled in windows) is even more than what Garmin Express offers as a backup. A region dump using SD copy command rrgn of either rgn 48 or 83 depending on device model gets everything there too as a BIN file without involving a computer initially. The BIN can be opened with WinImage or PowerISO and similar programs so the individual folders and files can be extracted if necessary, including normally hidden .System. The entire BIN can be flashed back by SD command xrgn to restore back the device's entire visible system.

    To be absolutely sure there are no traces of any modification you should also firstly backup the device's non-volatile memory region. That's in rgn 41 or 154 depending on device. Provided a troubled device can still accept SD txt commands the NV region can be restored and additionally rgn 14 where the modified firmware is stored can be also overwritten with the original fw_all.bin leaving the device exactly as it was before patching. Having said that, it's unlikely that a "hard-bricked" device returned for warranty purposes would be so closely examined unless there was deep suspicion it'd been tampered with. They would simply issue a refurbished replacement and send off the bad device for a JTAG re-programming of the flash chip without looking further into the cause. A "soft-bricked" device (symptom of stuck on initial Logo screen, stuck on Loading Maps or constant reboot) can usually be quite easily fixed by the user anyway, with forum help if required, by either using Cure firmware to allow removal of any corrupt file, or simply re-flashing correct firmware in the case of a corrupt fw region ("System Software Missing" message). Only if there is some physical damage or corruption to the flash chip would a Garmin RMA be needed.
