Great Thanks FireFox that worked not sure why it unpacked using the DriveAssist 51 (2590) fw6.20 folder first.
Still refuses to read the POI file. No speed Cameras
Nope it refuses to work with the POI file.
Also if I put a downloaded gmapprom.img map on my SD card in a Garmin folder this will not show up either under "my maps" it will not read it.
Did manage to Patch to 6.20, is there anyway to verify this.
At this point, it has 3 live time maps:
2022.10 ME @ NA Parkopedia
2022.10 Foursquare
2022.10 MENA
I think I read somewhere Garmin can only read 3 maps at anyone time. Not sure if this is correct
are you sure about the setting? proximity alert and audio
Select Settings > Driver Assistance > Proximity Alerts.
Audio
Sets the style of alert that plays when you approach proximity points.
Alerts
Sets the type of proximity points for which alerts are played.
Thanks Ashrafn
One point I noted when looking up the above info, is NOTE 1: You must have custom points of interest (POIs) loaded for proximity points alerts to display.
This Proximity Alert settings does not seem to show up on my unit.?? However have the POI file loaded.
Does it have anything to do in advance settings where the "Locale" setting is set to.

Hi Garmin. No never got the safety Cameras to work what ever I tried from your end, why I have a feeling it might be because it does not like the original maps. Was hoping to try it out with a ME MAP from this site.
Only other problem I face is that when I put an old ME map on a SD card, the unit will not see it for some reason. This was posted on the POI thread.
Ps is there anyway I am able to delete a thread I started on discussion. Dont realy want to double up as per your rules.
Thanks again for your help.
hello @ peterdw747 Garmin_Nuvi
I have a suggestion that might be helpful
Delete the whole POI file and then delete the garmin xml file
After that, reset the device to factory settings, create a new poi file, and put a new garmin cyclop in it
hope this will solve the issue
and maybe the new map 2022.10 also solve, it is release more than 2 month will come to the form any time now
